Great Sports Bar 2/18/2011

If your in West Seattle and looking for a place to grab a quick bite then by all means stop here. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly. They've got a good selection of beers and the food is much better than your average restaurant. more

Welcome to ""The Rock"" 6/19/2010

The Rocksport is an enormous sports bar located in the heart of the West Seattle Junction on the corner of California & Alaska. Now, if you're anything like me, the first time you walk in you will be looking for the rockwall to climb, which, you won't find because this is a sports bar, not an athletic facility you dummy.!!! However, there are a lot of great drinks to climb into, besides,... 16 ounce curls are underrated for developing forearm muscles anyway. The staff is quite friendly, the food is strong and features a big menu. My favorite meal is the buffalo chicken burger. ""The Rock"" features two dartboards as well as two pool tables in the elevated south section of the sports bar. Also, look out for the Monday Night Free Texas Hold-Em Poker Tournaments. Tourneys starts every Mon. @ 8:00 PM and the winner is awarded $50.00 I play in this tourney frequently and have had fun each time I play with those donkeys Go to the Rocksport today. I'll be the guy snatching one of your hot wings while you look the other way (just joking, maybe) Pros: amiable employees, HUGE interior, flat screens w/ HD Cons: Hard not to go every day... more

Best Sportsbar in the City 6/5/2010

Although it might not be on your way to anywhere, Rocksport is worth the diversion off the West Seattle Bridge for its down to earth serving up of fun and food on a platter. Everyone is having fun. Trivia, karoake, bands, your favorite teams on TV, great food (even great salads and wraps -- wow!) - and all at reasonable prices. There is just no way not to have fun and feel like you got value for your money here. Pros: fun everywhere, giant screens, great value, great food, Cons: West Seattle location more

The Rocksport Rocks 6/2/2010

This is a great sports bar with the best bartender in Seattle (Deanise), a great chef (William) that puts out one of the most magnificent burgers available anywhere. Free poker tournaments on Monday nights, and pool tournaments on Wednesdays. They also have some of the best dart players in America as regulars. If you are looking for a place to have fun in West Seattle, this is the place to be. The Rocksport really does rock. Karaoke is fun too, not sure which nights that they do that but Tony (host of Karaoke night) is one of the nicest guys that do that gig. Try the shrimp sandwich or the Caesar wrap. Wings are good too. Don't forget Taco Tuesdays, cheap and really good. Say hello to Jesus for me. (He is one of the chefs that work with Will) See you there... Pros: Best bartender in Seattle (Deanise) Cons: none on most days more

Huge Fan 5/29/2010

The Rocksport has been my favorite place for about four years now. No matter if I'm just dropping in to say ""hi"" to people, watching a game (Go Hawks!), or especially when they graciously accomadated my daughter's graduation party (absolutely amazing food spread, I may add). It's hard to imagine not having a positive experience there. The owners and staff are top notch in my book!! Pros: Cold Beer, Great Staff more

Tasty Beverages and Thrilling Sports 5/28/2010

I went into the Rocksport and found the atmosphere very welcoming. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Their beer selection was very good and their drinks were excellent. The food selection is much larger and tastier than regular bar food. There are alot of TV's and all in HD! They were very accomodating when changing a TV to the game I wanted to see and had a informative calender for upcoming events. If you have not been to the Rocksport, check it out ASAP! Pros: Alot of TVs and Beers, Great drinks made by great staff more

Good Sports Bar 5/20/2010

Cool West Seattle sports bar. Lots of tv's and a big menu. Drinks are very good. Girls get kind of wild, which is cool! Check it out. Pros: Strong Drinks! Cons: Parking more

Always good live music, good bar food 7/7/2007

While I will agree to one point the review before stated that their are a lot of sports bars in Seattle, there are none like this one that I've seen in West Seattle. There's always good live music. The crowd is a little bit of everything and they do have good bar food. If the last reviewer has an issue with ""the same female bartenders"" maybe she shouldn't go to sports bars ANYWHERE...that's the combo that works! Beer, good looking girls, and sports! I'm female and used to bartend in sports bars and clubs. Maybe the sports bar scene just isn't for them, but my friends and I love this place regardless! :) Pros: Good Music, Bar food & great staff Cons: paring in West Seattle isn't the best more

Blah, Blah 1/26/2006

I don't know why people love this place. There is nothing about it that makes it stand out from any of the 1,000 other sports bars in Seattle. Same food, same beers, same female bartenders, same jukebox even. It's just rather boring to be honest. Pros: sports Cons: sports more

Worth the Morning Headache 1/26/2006

I went to this place with some friends because we heard there was going to be a good band playing. It is certainly safe to say that I was more than satisfied. The staff was fast, friendly, and fantastic. The band was awesome. The atmosphere was very positive and upbeat. This place can be very loud, so if you are looking for a nice quiet place to chat with friends this probably wouldn't be the best place. However, it is a great to just go have a great time. It is definitely worth checking out and seeing for yourself. Pros: Staff, Atmosphere more

T.V.'s abound, babes aplenty, cigar friendly 10/16/2005

Busy, friendly hoppin' spot in 'Ol West Seattle. Get down to business, order a cocktail/food & let the flirting begin. Find a NTN board and get triivialized, or try your hand @ QB1. Cold beer, fresh wait staff & did I mention .... Cigar friendly ! Pros: good parking, cigar friendly, NTN-QB1-trivia Cons: kinda dark, juke box off/game, no AED on premise more

ROCKSPORT!!!! (say like ""Supahstah!!!"") 1/14/2003

Rocksport is a darn big place which is full of many tap macro/micro brews, hard alcohol, and wine. It's also got some damn good food for a sports bar! The prices are right on and the service is usually pretty good. The only downside is that it can get smoky. They've got some large screen and projection TV's to keep your attention. They've got darts and pool in the back area. The've got some live bands that play every weekend so the place can get crowded. You can also get pretty loud without anyone batting an eye. It's all you could want in a sportsbar. The best thing is that it's not a ""pretty-boy sports bar"" like Jillians. So throw on those sweats and grab your Camels and kill your afternoon drinking Alaskan Amber, Miller, or Jack & Cokes while watching the Sonics. It's as good as sports get. Pros: many, many tv's, full bar, large Cons: smoky (if you, are a nonsmoker) more

BEST sports bar in Seattle 11/10/2002

Breakfast on a Sunday morning should be on the list for single girls looking for single guys -- they fill the place, watching east coast broadcasts of every football game in the country, while the bar serves a great breakfast! I brought a group of 20 here for NTN trivia one night; the food and service is surprisingly good every time. I recommend the spinach salad. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive, and they are great with groups, too! Another night, something outside the bar's control zapped all electricity to the entire neighborhood, except for minimal emergency lighting. The bar manager announced that although they didn't have any record of our bills, that everyone was now on their honor and that they would continue the night with cash tills. Great attitude -- this is a bar where FUN is more important than money. Come to this place!@!@! Pros: truly good food, NTN trivia!, best sports screens Cons: none that i can see more
