The Best Option in Riverside 1/26/2014

We breed Siamese cats and wouldn't let any other vet touch them besides the ones at Riverside Cat Hospital. Our cats are very finicky and only let certain people handle them--other vets have ended up with scratches. We take them here for their shots, flea medication, perscription foods, and boarding. We have never had a bad experience. I love that they specialize in only cats. They are the most knowledgeable and caring vets we have ever encountered. Their facility is very clean and certified cat friendly. 5 stars. more

Dr. Lumsden & staff passed the test. 2/16/2010

Everything the previous reviewer wrote in her detailed review is about what I would say. I knew the vet was located on Magnolia for years, it looks like it is in a older converted house and I was a bit skeptical to try this vet because of that. My very picky freind was referred to RCH, took her very old and ill cat in, grilled the doctor about her qualifications and was very impressed with Dr. Lumsden, the staff, and the quality of care. So I figured she would be more than good enough for me, and I was right. LOVE LOVE LOVE this vet! It is also pretty easy to get an appt., usually the next day for me, which was impossible with my old and not so good or caring vet at Norco Animal Hospital. more

Riverside Cat Hospital is the best kept secret in town 9/12/2009

I have to tell you that at Riverside Cat Hospital, you would NEVER, EVER, EVER, have to worry that Dr Lumsden and her staff are not doing her best for your cat. She has a TRUE heart felt compassion for her patients, as do her staff. NO LIE !!! \r She talks to, pets, strokes, and encourages her little sick patients as if they were her own beloved cats. \r It is not all about the $$ with her, oh sure, of course she wants the practice to make money, but she's more concerned with practicing the very best feline medicine that she possibly can. She will also help you the owner, to give your beloved cat the very best care that YOU can give. \r The hospitalized patients and boarders are always kept clean and comfortable, always have fresh food/water in front of them, they are given a bed to curl up and sleep in, and their meds are always given according to directions (if it says 2x a day, then it is given 2x a day). When boarding your cat, rest assured that your instructions for feeding etc, wil more

A Great Vet 4/15/2009

Have a 2yr old Pixie Bob, which is fairly new breed from the Northwest that finds it's ancestry linked to the Bobcat. Amazing high energy strong animal that without notice was clearly sick. I won't go into detail, but the treatment she and I received was wonderful. Dr Lumsden runs the hospital like every patient is her cat and every owner her relative. If you have a cat and live in the area this is the only place to go. more

compassionate, knowledgeable care for cats 9/21/2008

My elderly cat has several medical problems, and I have been very impressed with the care she has received at Riverside Cat Hospital. Both the vet and the techs are adept at handling a nervous cat, and Dr. Lumsden is up to date on treatments. Everyone there loves cats. The facility is always extremely clean. Another plus about this hospital is that the cats are boarded in large cages with room to move around?twice the space of the usual cat boarding cage. more

Very knowledgeable vet! 7/23/2008

I have a diabetic cat. I took him to the Cat Hospital because he would not eat. The vet suspected pancreatitis right away. This is in contrast to a vet at the emergency hospital, who knew there was some sort of infection due to a high white cell count, but could not figure out the source. While that vet was very nice and did give my cat antibiotics, the vet at the Cat Hospital had more knowledge about what else to do. This is because she only sees cats. She and her compassionate tech showed me how to syringe feed my cat to keep him eating. I was also shown how to give my cat intravenous fluids with a saline drip at home to prevent him from dehydrating. When I said I could not afford more tests, the vet did not try to push them on me. She worked with what I could afford. My cat is completely better now.\r The only drawbacks: 1)they keep a cat for adoption in a small cage in the lobby. The receptionist said that this poor cat is almost never let out of the cage! 2)This same more
