Remedez Hair Spa

I have been going to remedez for a year now to get my hair colored, i have had an amazing experiece with my sylist Britney!! She had been so AMAZING, she truley cares about what i want as a client. she not only colors my hair and does a great job but she checks up on me and how my hair is looking, i went from having brown hair to blonde so it has been a long process that is usually not fun and very damaging to your hair but she has made my experience very delightful! she always sends me home with a masque for my hair and is always on top of educating me on any new products that will help pretect my hair!!! She is GREAT!! I LOVE Remedez, it is a Beautiful atmosphere!!! :) more

I have had pedicures, massages, facials, and waxing here. They are the best. I do love Trista for waxing and the best pedis around. The new Shellac is the best. I love getting my color and cuts here as well. Julie and Becka are awesome!! Overall, everyone is really nice and the tea is wonderful! more

I have been getting spa service done at Remedez for a while now and I just love the massage experience I have had with Laramie! He always starts out by asking what exactly I need work on and if there is anything he should know. I got in a little fender bender and I was having pain run from my neck to my legs so he studied some of his books and after just two visits I was feeling so much better! He focuses on my jaw using target points and the locking usually stops by the time he is done. He is always careful about the pressure and is always very professional. He is the best massage therapist I have ever had and would reccomend him to anyone! more

I love finding a quiet and relaxing location nestled in the heart of a busy city. Remedez is just that. I can schedule any spa service in between errands and to have to go far off the path. Their massage room area is tucked back away from the crowds and the atmosphere is intimate and softly lit. Besides the atmosphere, the services are not bad either. I had been going there for a lip wax for a while, when it was (strongly) suggested to me by my sister to also get a nose wax. That sounded so painfull, I was almost shaking when I went. in there. I couldn't believe it though. It didn't hurt. Not even at all. I really really recomend this procedure to anyone (old men especially) for getting rid of nose hair. Poof, no pain. I loved it! more

I have been looking for a great hairdresser for the past 5 years that could duplicate my cuts that I received in Southern California. I had gone to the same hairdresser for over 15 years in California. Getting a fabulous hairdresser in Utah has been one of my most difficult tasks. One day I went over to my girlfriends house. Her hair looked wonderful. I immediately asked, "Where did you get your hair done?" She told me, Jared at the Remedez Hair Spa at the University Mall. I Dexed on line, got their phone number, and had an appointment the following week. How awesome. It's a wonderful Spa. I've purchased make up there many times. Came in, sat down, they served water. Jared came in. After he draped me, he gave me the most wonderful head massage. I showed him a picture of how I used to get my hair cut. HE DID IT!!! I cannot tell you how happy I am to finally find a hairdresser that can cut my hair to my liking. This is so very important to me Not only did I get my hair cut, he found out that I was going to my grandchilds' Christmas Program. So he took me over to a make up station. Not only did I select the eye shadaows I wanted. Jared did my eyes and touched up my make up. I love the professionalism of the Spa. It's immaculate. Finding out about Jared at Remedez has made me a very happy camper. Plus, I can get my make up. more

I used to go here to get acrylic fingernails and toes and they used to have an awesome nail tech. However, their newest nail tech is absolutely AWFUL. She's really sweet, but she has no clue what she's doing. I've gone to her twice (I had forgotten her name so couldn't request someone else the second time) and been disappointed both times. I am pretty sure she is currently their ONLY nail tech, which for a place that claims to be an upscale salon, is just ridiculous. I have gotten acrylic toenails many times, gone to many different places, and they have always done them the same way - glued on white tips and used pink acrylic. This girl, however didn't use tips and just put acrylic and nothing else on my nails. They looked horrible. Plus, you can tell she just doesn't know what she's doing and is not real comfortable with it. Also, instead of putting me in a pedi chair like everywhere else I've gone, she sits you on a bench and has you stick your foot up on a rolling stool that she's sitting on. Very uncomfortable. I've also gone to Remedez to get my hair colored and cut a couple times, and have taken my daughter there for a haircut as well. My mom also went here for a haircut and color. Every time I was hoping for a better experience and decided to give them another chance. Every time I have been disappointed. Their stylists and techs are simply not experienced. Don't waste your time or money here. If you're not looking for quality, go somewhere cheap and they'll do just as good a job as Remedez. I went in the get a back fill and it took the girl 2 1/2 hours to give me the worst manicure ever. The colors didn't match. Every nails was uneven, lumpy, and had bubbles in it and she cut or file burned almost every finger. The white of the nail was too far up and made my fingers look stubby. My nails looked like dog toe nails. I could have given myself a better manicure. The next day when I called back to get a refund and have the nails removed, they refused to give me a refund because the manager doesn't have the 'authority' and the supervisor who does have the authority was out of town for the next week. I told her I didn't want the same girl to remove them because that would be really awkward and she insisted I go to the same girl. Overall, the service was completely sub-standard. Press on nails look more natural then this. Now, my fingers are going to hurt because the only way to fix it is to just remove them. I've used this salon several times for hair styling, pedicures and massages and I have to say that I have always been pleased with their sevices. They always know how to add the extra touch to their treatments that makes you feel spoiled. I have not gone often enough to be considered a regular, so I don't expect anyone to recognize me and can't say I would be offended even if I were. more

I used to be a frequent client of Remedez but have recently switched salons because of the horrible customer service--specifically with the management. The manager there (female with short hair) knew that I was a regular client but would never say "hello" or even give me a smile. These days there are Aveda salons everywhere and I'll take my business somewhere else where they appreciate me as a client. Don't waste your money there. more

I brought in pictures of the cut and color I wanted and she did it flawlessly. The color was awesome and the cut was incredible. I will definitely go back in the future to get my hair done. It is also an Aveda salon so all the products they use are natural and not hard on your hair. They provide a hand massage while your color is processing and touch up your makeup before you leave. I appreciated the professional service and the time that was taken on my hair to make it perfect. I will recommend Remedez to anyone looking for stylists who know what they are doing.
