I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! IT IS GREAT! JUST GO FOR YOURSELF! EXCELLENT!

Worst

I love Green Hill Theatre itself, but all of those annoying snotty rich little twerps really dampen the atmosphere. Young children like that should not be left without supervisio...

This place needs a good CLEANING!! It's filthy and smells like a locker!!! more

Convenient and Clean 3/22/2011

This theater is very convenient if you live near Green Hills or like to shop at the mall. Unlike another location we visited once, this one is kept clean and doesn't have unruly teens in the parking lot. It is best to park in the garage next door. They show all the recent favorites along with some interesting independent films. more

Great Time in Green Hills 7/28/2009

Love the theater, their selection is current. They could do a better job with the cell phone idiots, but I understand. I saw a comment on there about long lines. I usually get there a little early and not go on ""kids night"" . That may be what that was about. My only comment about that is get there early, enjoy the movie, and if you don't like lines in Green Hills, drive your happy butt over to 100 Oaks and enjoy the Rap show and see what new boxer short fasions are out now, and maybe get some new low-rider ideas for your truck or car. By the way, be armed, they are. Green Hills Rocks !!!! Raise the price of tickets now and maybe that guy will move to Antioch Pros: Good selection Cons: Cell phones more

Love this theater hate the cell phone users & texters! 5/25/2009

My husband, son & I went to see the Night at The Museum-Battle of the Smithsonian this afternoon. It was very crowded since it was memorial Day. I had 2 young kids behind my husband talking loudly. We had to hush them twice, The 2 young boys behind me were kicking the seat throughout the entire movie-their chaperone/mother did nothing. And this punk teenager beside me & another teen a few seats down were texting on their cell phones. My husband told the boy beside me to put the phone away at the beginning & then during the last 30 minutes he opened the phone again & I told him that there are rules about the cell phones & he snapped at me quite rudely. Something must be done about this inconsideration for other patrons who just want to relax & enjoy a movie in peace. The glare from the cell phones are very distracting & parents who don't teach their kids to be quiet or keep their feet off of the seat in front should be ashamed of themselves. I am so proud that my 9 yr. old is quiet during a movie & respectful of others. Pros: clean, 2 snack counters Cons: some peaople don't follow the rules re: cell phone usage more

Excellent Choice of Theater! 5/30/2008

The Green Hills Regal has a good selection of movies, and, occasionally, they show some independent films that are difficult to find elsewhere. The clientele are, generally, well-behaved and quiet; of course, they're usually quite wealthy and well-dressed, so you might feel out of place if you show up on a Friday night, wearing a T-shirt and gym shorts! The video and audio quality seems to be quite good, with few technical glitches, and I believe they have a good selection of snacks/drinks at the concession stand. One slight negative that I will mention: I think most of their theaters have a dividing wall that goes - left to right - across the seating area, so short people may have their view somewhat restricted if they sit in the row directly behind that wall. If you go there and check it out, I think you'll see what I mean...Overall, I would recommend this theater to anyone in the Nashville area. Pros: Great Parking Adjacent, Nice and Clean, Considerate Audience (usually) Cons: Smallish Theaters, Pricey more

Shows great indie films you can't see anywhere else, buy tickets at the lobby kiosk to avoid lines 4/29/2007

The reviewer below who advises to avoid this theater because of the lines is obviously like so many people (the ones standing in line) who don't realize you can bypass the line entirely and buy a ticket from a kiosk in the lobby. There is never a line there. The parking lot usually is crowded at busy times, but never so much that you can't find a spot. I guess it kills some people to walk a few yards.\r \r I'm very grateful for the Green Hills theater. They show movies that no other theater in town would even consider. The Belcourt can only do so much to bring sleeper films to Nashville. I remember when the idea of first run indie films showing in Nashville was laughable.\r \r So let's not gripe about little things (especially when you don't know any better than to stand in a line you don' t need to stand in). Pros: Great movie selection, quick and easy to get tickets at kiosks, stadium seating Cons: parking lot competes with mall traffic more

Avoid this theater due to lines 1/28/2007

The lines to buy tickets always go out the door, the lines to purchase drinks are imossibly long, and parking is always difficult ---going around and around the parking garage to get in or out.\r The only reason this theater stays as busy as it does is due to its proximity to one's own household. Pros: proximity Cons: long lines, long lines, not enough staff more

Tiresome 1/21/2007

Green Hills has Indie movies which is the only reason I tolerate them. They don't want to offend anybody, even rude talkers and cell phone idiots, and I have to get up 5 out of 10 movies to go get someone to turn out the lights, start the film on time, fix the jammed film, report loud talkers! What is it? I complained to a manager once about the sweeper employees who come in and tromp noisely up and down the stairs 1 or twice in a movie to do whatever they are doing. She never said she was sorry, but she couldn't defend the kids enough. I am a Regal Card owner and even thought they deny any control over points or free items, I have received much less rewards than other places in town. And I see movies a lot; I have 1500 points on my card in Nashville. And don't get me started about long lines to get a drink. What gives Green HIlls? Do you have to be ""The Snobby Movie Theatre"" with no service? Pros: Indie films Cons: Extra point misers more

Good Theater but...... 11/30/2004

I usualy go to Regal Green Hills for my movie fix. Great location, great parking and great choice of films but there are some improvements that needs to be done. When they get really busy, it doesn't make any sense why they only have one popcorn machine working or open the second concession stand down below to get rid of long lines. And I have been complaining to them about the behavor of teenagers making noise or talking on their cell phones a few times that I have to get up in the middle of the film to get a security officer outside to get them to stop it. I've walked out of a movie and left the theater so many times for that I've asked them for a free pass or a refund. I've had enough of it so next time, I'm going somewhere else! Pros: Location, Comfort, Great movie selection Cons: , Lack of security, Not clean at times more

Better than Most 8/30/2004

You are still on your own if someone decides to be an idiot and talk during a film, but fewer folks do that here. Regal and Carmike compete only in Bellvue in Nashville and it shows with their prices (and the lack of a good dollar cinema in Nashville) and this theatre is partially responsible for the Belcourt having to have fund-raisers, but that also means this is the only place for a good selection of artsy films in town. The Cooker is closed, but there are a few places to eat. Good parking in the garage!!! Pros: Artsy Films, Foreign Films, Quiet People Cons: , Escalator breaks, Prices more

The Best 8/24/2004

Green Hills 16 is hands down the best theatre in Nashville. Not only is the area clean and safe, but it is one of the few theatres (anywhere) that boosts quality sound and atmosphere AND artsy independent films. The selection of movies is fabulous- anything from talked about documentaries to Sundance winners to blockbusters. The ambiance is quiet- perfect for movie viewing. There is no need to go anywhere else. more

Green Hills is the best in Nashville 6/8/2003

Greens Hills is absolutely the best theater in Nashville. Not just for sound, seats or concessions, but for the patrons and shows. Green Hills tends to show more of the wall new releases than all the mainstream blockbusters. This selection of more critically acclaimed movies brings in an older more mature crowd, thus a quieter more relaxed viewing experience. Check Green Hills out. You wont be disappointed. more

Dim All The Lights... 1/24/2003

Call me crazy, but I just don't enjoying watching a movie as much when they don't turn the lights off for the featureyou know, the dimmer lights that are on when the trailers and commercials are running, but are supposed to be turned off for the movie. It makes it really hard to get into a movie when you can see everyone around you under this orange glow looking at the ceiling as if to say, ""Why the heck are the lights still on?"" Sure, the person next to me may be really tearing into a bucket of popcorn, but I don't necessarily want to have to see it clearly too. This is the second time this has happened to me at Regal Green Hills. Whasssup! Get your act together guys. It really spoils the whole experience when you don't dim all the lights. more

Great selection of films, needs janitors 1/23/2003

This theater is the best when it comes to selection and variety - if only rated by these attributes - it is the best in Nashville! The downside is that the management are rarely concerned with keeping the place up to par. The restrooms are to be avoided if possible, and the escalators are often out of order and covered with ground-in popcorn. Another downside is the box office - especially on the nights/weekends - they are frequently understaffed at the ticket windows, and the lines move slow. For those who use a credit card, or reserve tickets online, the kiosks in th lobby are great, and the best way to go, but one of them is almost always out-of-order. Pros: Large theaters, Comfortable seats, Attached garage Cons: Dirty Bathrooms, Broken escalators more

Just perfect!! 10/25/2002

This is where you would find movies not playing in other theatres in Nashville, and they are some of the best movies I've seen. The workers are very nice, they would greet you like old friends. Location is perfect for a weekend date, dinner and a movie. Parking is no problem either. My favorite theatre. more

excellent seating and head rest 10/4/2002

the most comfortable seating in Nashville. Your head does not get cramped. more

Classy Entertainment 7/5/2002

From the most popular current films to international productions, Green Hills ofers a wide selection with a respectable clientelle. Fewer things agitate me more that noise during a movie, Green Hills is by far the best atmosphere. Pros: Clientelle more

A good place to watch a good movie. 6/28/2002

I usually visit the theater on weekday afternoons. I have never had a problem parking in the front parking lot or in the parking garage. The parking lot and building are always clean. The theater is always clean and comfortable. Sound and picture are the best I have seen anywhere. I have not had to wait in a line for any movie. I do not buy concessions (at any theater - they are too darn expensive!) so I don't know about them. The bathrooms are always well maintained. The staff is always friendly. There is a reason that I do not go on weeknights or weekends. When the theater is busy, bustling everything everywhere, I imagine it can get chaotic. I recommend leaving work early one afternoon and catching a mid afternoon show. Pros: Many choices, Clean, Parking more

Worst Movie Theatre 6/21/2002

The best thing about Green Hills is that it has the only selection of independant movies you can find in town. And that readers is the only best thing about it. The seating of the movie theatre is not practical with the first row of seats unuseable due to the rail. If you want to be surrounded by unsupervised teens and have snotty women talk thru the entire movie this is the place to go. Pros: Independant films Cons: Unsupervised Teens, Bad seating, expensive concessions more
