Red Lobster

I have to say, despite what you or others may think, this place is GREAT. The seafood is sooo fresh (especially when living in the desert), nevermind the yummy biscuits! To the review before me, if they run out of fresh fish (salmon in that case) it's because they RAN OUT OF FRESH FISH AND DON'T SERVE FROZEN, DUH you run out of stuff that is flown in fresh ya know!!!!!! As for the 'slow service', my service was just perfect. I have waited a little bit for my server, but when I first saw her come out, she had a bunch of salads and things for 2 different tables and then came directly over (busy working!). Unlike other people i can recognize I AM NOT THE ONLY GUEST! A person can only be one place in one time, right? From there on I got what i needed when i needed it and never saw my server 'messing around' when i did wait a minute for something, she was always bringing things to other tables at the same time. We have been to this red lobster a number of times in the past and every time the service has decreased in quality and this past visit has finally sent us from being regular customers to no longer wishing to attempt this restaurant. In the latest visit we visited this establishment for dinner, were seated promptly, however this is where the decent service ended. Once seated it took the waitress 10 minutes before visiting our table, at which point our drinks, appetizer and dinner selections were already decided. When she promptly told us that there was no more salmon available for the evening (at 6pm). Both of us decided to go with the create your own feast dinner and we asked about changing the snow crab to the king crab. We were reassured that there would only be a minor up charge for upgrade from snow to king crab, which is what we expected from previous encounters. Does Red Lobster even need an introduction? This seafood chain has been serving customers for decades.\r \r Obviously seafood is what Red Lobster does best. Lobster, crab, fish, if it came out of the water they serve it here. And for those of you who absolutely loathe seafood, fear not. There's a good variety of other items as well, so regardless of your tastes I'm sure you'll find something. \r \r The problem here isn't with the food (for the most part), but rather the service. Too many mistakes are made. Once I ordered chicken strips, and the waitress brought me a full-blown grilled chicken breast. How could you possibly screw THAT up? Another time I asked for mayo, and the waitress said they didn't have any. Is it LEGAL to run a restaurant and not have mayo? Yet another time I said I wanted a promotional item they had advertised on the menu with no asparagus - sure enough, it came with the asparagus. i went there with my roomate, the waitress was very attendive to out needs, check up right amount of time, not to many times, but enough to check up on us, was sociable, food was great, everything was great PROS: all around satisfactory CONS: cant think of anything more

we went to the red lobster after not having been there for many years. i was so surprised that i cant belive i waited so long. i built my own platter(lunchtime) i had the scallops, shrimp and salmon. very good. as good as any food i have had at a 5 star resturant. it wasnt crowded. it was very clean. my partner and i ate everything we wanted with drinks for about 50.00 i cant think of anything that i didnt like about our visit there. PROS: good food good service CONS: none more
