In ShortHolding it down on one of Beverly Boulevard's weird corners just east of the Beverly Center is a beautiful, spacious and constructed-according-to-LEED-guidelines ode to environmental consciousness disguised as a fancy skincare and nail salon. Owner Nidhi Lal set out to create a relaxing and convivial destination for frazzled Angelenos, and she ended up with our city's first fully "green" spa. The space follows strict energy and environmental design codes with furniture made from recycled materials, natural skylights, Energy Star-rated equipment and walls built from safe-foresting woods. The pleasant and skillful staff also use great-smelling organic soaps and scrubs, toxin-free nail polishes, non-toxic botanical lotions and microbial bamboo cotton towels. Procedures like manicures and pedicures are affordable, proving you don't need lots of money to go green, and there is always a celebratory event or promotion going on.
