A huge relief to find a good vet in my area. My dogs are very nervous but Dr Marks and his staff made a calming environment for them to recieve wonderful care.

Worst

The only reason they rate more than one star is because the doctors really are good at what they do. Sadly, all of that competence is overshadowed by a very unpleasant office man...

very kind and compassionate 7/26/2011

Hmm, I'm not sure about all these other bad reviews but I've been taking my dog there for several years. Both doctors are very kind and compassionate and the staff is always nice too. I don't feel like they recommend unnecessary things -- I had my dog's teeth cleaned awhile back ago and I keep asking whether that needs to be done again and they've said that he doesn't need it again yet. They are very patient with my dog's vet-phobia, and the doctors will take the time to explain things to me, return phone calls, etc. Things do add up, but I can't say that anything they've done wasn't needed. more

The staff have always been great 7/25/2011

We've been going here for for about 5 - 6 years now. I have a 12 year old chihuahua and a 6 year old shihtzu. I must say, they are not inexpensive, but I've looked around and pretty much most of the clinics are charging about the same price. They do try to sell heartworm meds but really thats up to the owner to get it or not. The staff have always been great and have taken good care of our dogs. more

I have the highest regard for his work 7/22/2011

I have known Dr Marks for almost 3 years, and I can honestly say that I have the highest regard for his work ethic, and eagerness to help his customers. His practice has been taking care of my dog since the day I picked him from the litter! The doctors have always been professional and upfront with me about the required and recommended care for my little guy. I have never had any problems, but I know that if there was a problem, he would make sure to handle it as quickly as possible. I believe his prices are fair, and while they are not necessarily the cheapest on the block, they are not the most expensive. You definitely "get what you pay for", and that is meant with the utmost respect. more

Such a relief! 7/19/2011

I just moved here and was extremely anxious to find a new vet that was good and not expensive. First thing I noticed was how clean the office was. The front office staff is really nice and really showed an interest in my two sick chihuahuas. Dr Marks was so gentle with them and they hardly even reacted to his shot, which they would normally be royally freaking out. The prices werent super cheap but they were definately not over-priced either. My dogs got treated and were better within a few days just as Dr Marks said they would be. Such a relief to find a local vet! more

FEELS LIKE A REAL NEIGHBORHOOD VET!! I've been taking my dogs here for over 10 years, after having had various mediocre to horrible experiences with other vets around Los ANgeles, and Dr. Marks and his staff are the most consistently professional, caring, and accommodating group of vets I've found. I belive I've seen every vet who works there are one time or another, and there isn't a single one I wouldn't trust with the health of my dogs. The office staff are always laid back and friendsly as ewll. The best thing about Rancho Park is that, despide being smack dab in the middle of LA, it sometimes it feels like a real neighborhood vet, in tha they do'nt just treat your pet and rush you out the door for the next client. They answer your questions thoroughly and are always accessible on the phone as well.An added bonus? The place is clean, airy, and smalls nice, which, frankly, is not easy to come by. more

My family has been using Dr. Marks' services since I was 12. They're great! He helped us when our golden retriever, Max was having problems walking and saved our neighbor's cat when she was hit by a car. The place is clean, the staff is compassionate. Everyone I know loves Dr. Marks more

I would recommend Rancho Park 5/23/2011

I have been a client at Rancho Park for many years and have been there many times. Every time I go the receptionists are very nice, and they always ask good questions. The doctors are friendly and knowledgable and always make sure that I understand my pet's condition. Finally and maybe most importantly, they always let me know the prices up front so I know what to expect. I would recommend Rancho Park Veterinary Clinic to anyone. more

Well run hospital 5/20/2011

I have been going to this place for a few years now, and have strayed a few times, but I always come back to Dr. Marks. I have outgrown my desire to find the cheapest vet in L.A. and lets face it how many times can you stare down a lobby full of pit bulls and dogs on a rope instead of a leash in order to save a few bucks? Dr. Marks office is clean and everything is in order. I bring my dog in, the doctor tells me what my options are and to be honest when it comes to my pet the more information and options the better. I make my choices according to what is best for me and for my dog. My money, my choice and I choose a clean, well run hospital with a great staff and a doctor I trust. Too bad they dont treat reptiles more

great diagnostic skills 5/19/2011

For the last 3 years I have taken my 17 year old cat to this wonderful clinic. Dr. Nic attends to us but the staff as a whole is always welcoming and professional. Dr. Nic's approach is proactive yet non-invasive and if it wasn't for her, I don't believe my kitty would be alive today. She has great diagnostic skills, which have been extremely helpful in our case. I've referred several friends to the clinic and they've been as pleased with the treatment as I have been. One can also schedule appointments there and they are very punctual--another real plus. more
