This is one of the best salons in the area. The hair dressers are professional, attentive to detail and the prices are some of the most reasonable I have ever found, especially for curly hair. I highly recommend Rafet's in columbia mall. more

men's cut $34 with tip and definitely not worth the price. I usually have my hair trimmed at a salon in nyc for about the same price because I keep it medium length (2 inches long) and the salon stylists usually know how to layer whereas cheaper hairstylists/barbers don't. Recommended to Rafet's by a friend and was disappointed. The cut was not layered properly or cut evenly. I was able to get the stylist to cut it evenly but he wasn't able to fix the rest of the cut. Waited a week and went to mastercuts today where a stylist there did a better job for nearly 20 dollars less. more

Ermm... I work at this mall... Seyfi is great i hear. But truly understated gem who still works there is OMER!! He used to come into my store to get tea but it'd be months before i finally needed a haircut and watthehey... i asked doesn't that guy cut hair? Im not posh but im extremely critical; I've had my hair 2 inches from my scalp, platinum no less to the typical layered long naturally black, conservative asian look it is now. Anyhow I can go on about this guy. OMER Loves hair, you can feel it in his touch. THat's the difference. If you want color, go to Amanda (tiny, marisa tomei double) at Cavallaro n Co; she gave me the best highlights ever! One can usually tell if someone's good by their personal style or if you know the person. Amanda's always always sported trendy colors, go check her out. If you want amazing amazing hair, top-down, moneys a non-issue... go to MorganGerard in Annapolis... im not their promoter or anything.. jus a convinced fan. more

I have been going to Rafet's for several years. The result was always great when Seyfi cut my hair. Unfortunately, he has quit his job to get his own place. I happy for him but I miss my hairdresser. I tired two other guys, honestly, they suck. Each time, my hair was way different than what I wanted. I would have given 4 stars before, but now the place's worth is 1 star. more

I went to Rafet's for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The shampoo guy gave me a nice head massage while washing my hair, which was pleasant. My hair ended up being shorter than I envisioned (so if you are really committed to a certain length, be VERY clear), but I liked the end result. I have straight, fine, long hair, and the stylist cut in really great layers that look good even w/out styling. I have gotten a ridiculous number of compliments on my hair, even from strangers. It's kind of expensive for a mall salon though. more
