peace center offers the best school field trips 3/17/2006

My childrens school has attended many field trips to the Peace Center and they have all been terrific. I try to go as a chaparone and everything goes really smooth which is a great task when you are doing a show for hundreds of children. They are always organized, clean facility and very professional while still being friendly. more

Great Place to see Live Shows 12/8/2005

I've enjoyed every performance I've been to at the Peace Center from Les Miserables to dance recitals. There are many different offerings every year. I've never had a bad seat and the prices can range from reasonable to very expensive. Parking can be difficult so just go early and enjoy walking downtown. The Peace Center is located close to very tasty restuarants. Also the pavilion out back by the river can be rented for wedding recepts, proms, and other events. Its very nice as long as it doesn't rain! more

Beautiful, historic theater 8/19/2005

The Peace Center is the premier cultural venue in the Greenville area for operas, musicals, and even presidential debates. This beautiful theater attracts national acts, including off-Broadway plays. Tickets are very reasonably priced, and special annual passes are available if you make a donation to the theater. You may have to park in a parking garage a couple of blocks away, but it is a beautiful walk through the tree-lined streets of downtown Greenville. more

Performing Arts Theater 8/13/2005

Located in the heart of downtown Greenville, which gives it both good and bad points. The good part is a beautiful theater with a great selection of live theater. The theater itself is architecturally stunning. Season passes are available which make it very affordable to see all they have to offer. Shows range from Broadway musicals to stand up to orchestral performances.. this year alone you can see "The Boyfriend", The Three Tenors and a perfomance of Mozart's music. The only downside, and it's a big one, is parking. There is a lot of parking downtown in theory, but that can be next to impossible to find after 6 p.m. The idea of enjoying a downtown restaurant and walking to the Peace Center is great, as long as you are prepared to spend some time finding a place to leave your car. more
