I was estimated a total move time of 3-4 hours, it took them 7! The men that came spent the first 30 minutes complaining about how much there was to move and that there company never estimates these moves correctly and tried to call to get an additional person to help, which didn't happen. They had to make 2 trips because the truck they brought had something wrong with the loading skid and had to save room in the truck to load the skid as well instead being stored under the truck as it should have been. The men that did the move were very slow loading and unloading, not very careful with our belongings, caused a grease stain on the new carpet by not putting a chair onto it's base and lost a piece to a bed frame in the truck which I had to call several times to have someone look for. The company never confirmed the move with me, I had to call them the day before the move to make sure we were confirmed. Over all the move cost me twice as much as it should have and a lot of headaches in the end. Don't use Patts Moving! more

very poor customer service 10/17/2011

I was a repeat customer. I moved in 2010 and again this year (July). I was so pleased with their service last time, I called them again. What a disappointment! Last year, I moved from a house to an apartment and had to make another stop. That move took 2 1/2 hours. This time, I had less to move, no additional stops, and I had moved my boxes onto the patio, as to speed up the process. They arrived an hour late and it took them 6 1/2 hours to move me!The drivers were rude, crude, and very inappropriate to me and my mom. In fact, one of the drivers was fired!!! They left a mark on my wall and that issue took 2 1/2 months to resolve, only after I had submitted a claim and made numerous phone calls and left countless messages trying to resolve this issue. The drivers made it clear, they did not have plans that night and I found them smoking in their truck on numerous occassions. They were many times, they went MIA. The manager did adjuct my bill, only after numerous phone calls and heated discussions. I was very displeased with their service and I will never hire them again!!! more

Absolutely Would NOT Reccomend. 10/3/2011

This was my first time working with a moving company. I called all around Omaha, and went with Patt's because their hourly rate was the lowest. I got an informal quote on the phone, that it would take about two hours to move my bedroom set, and living room set. (two rooms) It ended up taking the two boys nearly six hours to move my two rooms - no more than two miles. The two young men were very nice and polite, and easy to work with. However, they were both quite young and inexperienced, and were fairly unprofessional with their blue jeans, piercings, tattoos and ball caps on. They held open my front door and the door to the apartments with quarters and dimes - causing huge divets in the wood - instead of appropriately propping the doors open. They didn't move the first piece of furniture until twenty minutes after their arrival - and seemed to work very slow at loading the furniture onto their truck. Once we arrived at the new place they picked their speed up quite a bit more. When they moved my couch out of my place - they scratched the door in numerous spots, and my desk, book case, dresser and nigh stand all have chips and one scratch from this move. We were prepared to pay for two hours (as told to us on the phone) - and would've been okay paying for 3 to maybe even 4. But we were dumbfounded when we were being charged close to six hundred dollars (instead of the 180 we were expecting). I called the main number and spoke with a manager the following day - who said he would call me back upon further investigation (and didn't). I called again a few days later and he told me there was nothing they could do. They weren't even willing take an hour off our bill for the giant difference in price. I would not recommend this company to anyone for moving - they may be the cheapest, but I am willing to bet that a more professional company with experienced movers would get it done in half the time (saving you money in the end). Also, customer service means a lot to me when using various companies for services - and this one was not willing to take responsibility, or try and meet us half way. They went with "our movers say they did as best they could" and they wouldn't budge in any way - to me that is poor customer service. He was very cold, didn't call us back, and didn't seem to care that we felt misled, overcharged and were unhappy with our experience. He just wanted his money - and to get off the phone with me as soon as he could, regardless with how unhappy we were with the move. **Update** Back in March when we moved, I posted the above post. I expected that to be the end of things. However, in early September I received a phone call from the new customer service manager. He told me they wanted to make amends - If I removed my above post from their website he offered to pay us back for about an hour and a half of service. We felt really good about that - and were happy that someone took the time to reach out to us and make things better. I removed my post - and after a week and a half I called, because I hadn't received the promised check in the mail. I called a second time a week later, a third time two days later, a fourth time, an additional week later, and my fifth and final call was just three days later. I left one message on a machine - and the other four were picked up by a gentleman who sounded more and more dumbfounded each time I left a message with him - astounded that the customer service manager never returned my call. The last two times I spoke with this man he promised and assured me he would get the customer service manager my information and that he WOULD call me back as soon as possible... He was not as surprised as I am. It is more than a month later - I have not received a single call back from this person, nor do I have the promised check. Therefore I decided to re-post my experiences. *Please do not use this moving company. more

Second Time-Even Better Than First!! 9/28/2011

I used Patt's in 2008 and was VERY impressed with the company and the 2 young men that loaded our U-Haul for us. My husband passed away last year and I have some health issues requiring me to move in w/a daughter. Matt & Gregg came w/ a Patt's truck and hussled (carefully) to load my things and drove to my daughters to unload them. They were very professional, very clean cut, very polite and didn't sit around wasting time or taking smoke breaks. They were very cautious with my furnishings and placed everything where I needed it. I am 62 and appreciated not being taken advantage of. I would SO use this company any time I need things moved. Multiple locations - Great results 7/8/2011

We had furniture at 3 different locations that had to be moved to our new house. Marcos, Joe, and Chris arrived on time and worked straight through (~6 hours) until the job was done. Some of the furniture had to be disassembled, then reassembled at the point of delivery. All three gentlemen were very professional, friendly, and competent. I would certainly use this company again for any moves I make in the future. more

In regard to your star rating-you do not give a person a chance to rate your company at less than satisfactory. A minus five stars should also be given to the poor souls who have dealt with you and the poor operation that you run. I have suffered damages to my property because of your company backing a huge yellow truck-#526431 in to my driveway and cracking the concrete squares on my triple wide driveway where the truck was placed without my permission. The truck was to go behind our home to load but the employees thought the ground was too soft. When I went back in to my home to discuss what we were going to do-one of the movers backed the huge yellow truck in to the driveway causing major damage. The office was closed for the 4th of July so I waited until Tuesday to call and inquire about the incident. The person on the phone told me the movers had told him about the incident but that he would offer no solution to my damages. My home is for sale so I have recent photos taken from several diffferent positions by the realtor. There was no damage to my home before the incident and now they are telling me there is nothing that they can do. Does that suggest maybe this company has no insurance? I would strongly suggest that you check this company out before using and then use someone else. RESPONSE FROM Patt's Moving Center: We absolutely have insurance. We have to carry insurance in order to be a licensed mover. The claim was turned into insurance. Our office does not handle claims once this happens. The logical choice is to park a truck in the driveway verses a yard. There is a 100 chance that a large moving truck will leave massive ruts in any yard or lawn. We have parked on 1000's of driveways and never had an issue. We do apologize, and we did learn from this move. We now ask the customer where they want us to park before we start the job. Most all customers prefer the driveway. It keeps us closer to the house, saves on the time it takes to load/unload, therefore saving the customer money. We have no problem parking on the street, but please be advised, the longer the distance to the truck, the longer the move will take. Other than the driveway, the rest of the move went great. No furniture was damaged, and the job was completed within a reasonable time frame. We hope that all of our customers has a 5 star experience after hiring our company. more

A Wonderful Experience From Start to Finish! 2/17/2011

I was happy to have been referred to Patt's Moving and Storage by a web-based Moving Company Locator. I was very pleased to have selected Patt's from the options provided, as they were prompt in arriving, used the utmost care in assisting me with packing and labeling my belongings, and their charges were well within my budget (moving is expensive and they understand). Davis and Matt have been very helpful in working with me on my monthly storage fees during the time that I was unemployed, as well as allowing me the time that I needed to get my finances in order. For me, that was a blessing, and I can rest assured in knowing that BIG corporations, such as U-Haul, etc., would not have extended such graciousness to any customer.
