nasty, filthy, bad band, overpriced/watered down drinks 1/30/2011

We could not leave fast enough! The band was horrible! The place was nearly empty except a few drunken fools. The tables were nasty, the whole place made me feel like I need to go shower!! We will never, ever, go back... big mistake in going... big..... huge more

Great staff and a lot of fun 7/29/2008

Great joint!! We went last week (twice) and had a blast both times. Friendly, fun staff in a laid-back atmosphere. Yeah, a little on the red side, but what would you expect with a name like this. If you go to have fun, you will not be disappointed at the Paradise Park. more

Rude manager, touri$t trap 7/18/2008

Ummm, yeah, so, the management here is rude? And you say the earth is round? I don't know why managing a tourist trap on lower Broad makes someone a deity, but apparently, it excuses consistently rude behavior. \r \r The food is overpriced, could've have it at Denny's, without the extra $ide of irony decor that would be funny, if.... the place wasn't so dern filthy all the time. \r \r See, the key to working this ironic shtick would be to HAVE that ""trailer park vibe"" for all the hip kids slumming it, but keeping it clean enough so that one would actually ENJOY being there. The floor, chairs, and especially tables are rarely clean. It must be too difficult to wipe a table. \r \r more

Paradise Park Trailer Resort 6/17/2008

I had a blast at Paradise Park on Saturday June 7! I love the Collie Jones Band - would go back again and again for the music! Sang and danced until 3am. Lots of beer on tap.. love this bar and band! more

Really Fun 4/29/2008

I had a BLAST at Paradise Park. We ate at the restaurant early in the evening and came back again and partied in the bar until close. The food was really good. I recommend people checking it out. It really is a great burger and fries. The bar is SO MUCH FUN. They had great music and everybody was having a great time. I will be back. Pros: Great Food, Cheap Beer, Great Music Cons: Really Crowded more

Want proof the Nashville bar scene isn't good 4/10/2008

Do you want undersized pitchers that fool customers into thinking they are getting a good deal? Want slimy food from a deep fryer? Want to hang out with drunk hicks that don't realize they are being made fun of? Want to hear a live band that you cannot hear over that the owner himself has said, ""is aweful but the average hick enjoys"". Then come to this bar!! Pros: Not much Cons: Hot! Crowded! Creepy! Expensive! more

Great times, Great Burger 3/5/2008

I love burgers...this is one of the best I have ever had. Fun times, cold beer, great food, fun crowd. Pros: Great food more

Avoid at all costs... 3/4/2008

Dirty, disgusting bar-area. The ""restaurant"" is over priced, I had the chili, which was like water, one friend had chicken tenders, which were still raw and frozen inside. The french fries are made fresh, which don't mean they're good....drinks are over priced, as is the food, and the entire staff, including the manager who brushed past our table, was rude. There are better places in Nashville to spend your money. Cons: Staff, food, prices, atmosphere, drinks, staff more

Good Burgers & Fries 3/2/2008

Love the hubcap burgers and fries. No it's not the cleanest place but thats what their theme is all about trailer trash. At least it was better than the breakest buffet at the Motel we stayed at. In fact we ate there 2 times in one day. more

Something different 2/22/2008

My husband and I loved this place! The whole trailer park theme was hilarious. We were taking pictures of everything and sending them back home. Great time! Pros: Great atmosphere Cons: Sound wasn't great more

Good Stuff... 1/16/2008

I just ate at Paradise Park and have to say that the burger was as good as I have had anywhere. It really is great. I know the place may not be the cleanest place in the world, but what burger joint is? I would HIGHLY recommend Paradise Park to everybody. The burgers are fantastic, the music is great, the beer is cold and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. If you get a chance, check it out it is worth it. Pros: Great Burgers, Nice Staff, Fun Music more

Great burger, shame about the filthy surrounds 1/5/2008

Perhaps beer goggles might provide an alternative review, however after seeking out this ""trendy, new 24 hour diner""' on a Saturday afternoon I am afraid the place did not stack up to the description touted. New is used rather loosely, it is better described as a trailer park's concept of a trailer park resort, it is really on the cheap. The place was filthy, French fries squashed over the floor under the tables, sauce or something on the sides of the table, must have been a hard Friday night. But since my husband was hungry and I really did not want him to roll his eyes at me while I figured out exactly what it was I felt the taste for and where, and since we had a baby with us, I let him order. I did not want to eat, an eating area that unclean does not suggest the food will last long in the stomach. But, what the heck, I can afford to lose a few pounds so I ordered the $4.99 bowl of chilli, homemade. John's burger was actually great and the fries were as well. The chocolate shake was also good and apparently Purity products are used, along with the standard chocolate syrup. The $4.99 bowl of chilli came in a small cup about the size of a regular coke cut down. No bread or crackers to accompany which is a pity because it was a soup rather than a chilli. Tasted OK, appeared to be homemade except for tinny taste, which may have been from the can of whatever went in. Not great, not bad but not $4.99 value! I passed on the tattertots for my tot because I really was not comfortable putting anything into his mouth given the unclean surrounds. Nice staff, the handwritten cardboard sign on the window 'best burger in town' may be a bit of an overstatement but not too much. However, the concept is just not carried through. We are not planning on going there again in a big hurry, if I want the charm of a diner I will stick to Brown's, the dirt there is old and well earned. more

Best Bar on Broadway 7/4/2007

Collie-Jones band rocked us hard Friday night! Great atmosphere, pretty ladies (staff and customers), and bad-ass music made a great night. Well, the booze certainly didn't hurt either. $6 pitchers, hell yeah! more

I had high hopes... 5/3/2007

I was excited about this place. It sounded kitchsy & cool. I went there on a Monday afternoon around 4:30 or 5, so it wasn't a busy time of day. The place was kinda dead, and didn't look NEAR as cool inside as I thought it would be. We were confused about which door to go in and where to go to order. I am a meat-eater, but I LOVE fresh homemade veggie burgers. I decided to try to veggie burger and get the mac & cheese. My dad got chicken tenders. That was the WORST veggie burger I have ever had. I didn't even finish it (which is rare for me). The mac & cheese was not too bad. It tasted homemade, so that was good. My dad's chicken tenders were really good, but he said there wasn't anything special about them. At one point the manager came over and asked how everything was and I just said ""Fine."" Then as he walked away I kind of wished I had told him how horrible the veggie burger was. Sometimes I don't know how to be honest without it sounding rude, so maybe it would better I didn't say anything. \r \r I heard the owners also own Bar Twenty3, which I LOVE, and go to ALL THE TIME, and I am even friends with a guy that works there, and I've had my birthday, and my boyfriend's birthday there, so I was kind of expecting PPTR to be something really special too. I am actually really disappointed b/c I was excited about this place opening. Oh well... I work downtown, so maybe I'll check it out again. I hope they improve, b/c it COULD be a cool place. Work on the interior a little more!!!! Pros: Ummmm, It's downtown, open late... Cons: WORST VEGGIE BURGER IN TOWN! (Bricktops on the other hand it DELISH!) more

Hooray for late-night options... 5/3/2007

I've been to Paradise Park a few times since they opened (day and night) and have had nothing but great service, fantastic drink deals and awesome food. \r \r The decor reminds me of Shady Grove in Austin, TX...it is kitschy...and I think it's great! Pros: beer specials, great food Cons: the food ordering process was a bit confusing more

Fun but could be better 4/29/2007

I was surprised that any live music venue in Nashville would have such horrible sound. The band was good, it just didn't sound good. The vibe at this place is cool and the food was good, but if this place wants to survive in ""music city"" and compete with the standards of Tootsie's and the Stage, they need to make some changes. more

great customer service, friendly and fun environment 4/26/2007

This bar is awesome!! I didn't try the food so I can't say anything about that, but as far as the service and everything else- it was excellent. Drink prices were the same as every other bar. Everyone was very friendly and fun, including the man checking ID's. It was a treat to be served by a male bartender for a change -who by the way-is HOT!! Micah is great. Give him a raise! He deserves one after putting up with 4 wild girls (one in particular) who bothered him constantly for drinks and pictures. Pros: great service from everyone Cons: nothing more

Not the Best Burger In Town 4/21/2007

After Walking by several times on my way home from work and seeing in large letters ""Best Burger In Town"" I decided to give Paradise Park a try. I thought this was an interesting claim, since they have only been open for a few months, and I personally have never heard any one say that, nor seen any review claiming that. But, I thought I would give it a try. Well just saying it doesn't make it so. It was not great. It wastasteless and Sloppy. And the Place itself is so all over the place. I wouldn?t even know how to describe it. I can say one thing for sure, it is in no way even close to the ""Best Burger In Town"" I will never go back. Cons: Bad Food more

I really liked Paradise Park.... 4/20/2007

Hey! I have been there about 4/5 times since the opening- each time I took a different friend and everyone has loved it. The owner, Ben is great, the staff and managers are wonderful and the food is excellent. I highly recommend. The BLT is my favorite but the Single Wide Cheeseburger is great too..... Pros: great staff, fun ambience, great food more

Note from Owner... 4/18/2007

My name is Benjamin Goldberg and I am the owner of Paradise Park. I became aware of what was happening on CitySearch yesterday and felt the need to post my thoughts and comments along with everybody else. Before I go any further, I want to let everybody know that myself, nor anyone associated with Paradise Park, has ever asked for or paid for people to write reviews about us on CitySearch. I would also never encourage anyone to comment negatively about another business. I DO NOT operate that way. I strive to operate both my businesses and my life with high moral and ethical standards. I have no problems with any other businesses downtown. As a matter of fact, I love being downtown and giving people the opportunity to hop between multiple places. \r \r It seems as though people are using CitySearch in ways that it is not meant to be used. I know that many of the reviews are false, both the positive and the negative, and I have contacted CitySearch to look into the abuse that is taking place on their web site. I do not want people to be able to look at this site and think that I, or anybody from Paradise Park, would allow this to continue. I am sure that some people have had negative experiences at Paradise Park, and to those people I say I?m sorry; please give us another chance to make it right. I also know that many people have had positive experiences at Paradise Park, and to those people I say thank you, I hope you will come in and have a drink with me. \r \r Overall, I just want everybody to know that I do not like or condone what is happening on this page and am very upset by it. I ask those people (both the positive reviewers and the negative reviewers) to please stop and let CitySearch be used for its original intention. If you have any questions or comments at all my personal phone number is 615.248.8458. I am sorry for what has been happening on this site and I hope you understand that I have had no part of it, nor will I have any in the future. \r more
