Met my stylist about a year ago at Par Exsalonce and he is the best. Appointments are always on time, and I always get a 48 hour reminder call. Staff is always eager to help, while offering flavored water. Wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else! more

My husband had purchased a gift certificate for me to ejoy a relaxing day away from the kids... I decided to use it on the day of our anniversary before our dinner plans that evening. I was scheduled for massage, facial, pedi, make up and shampoo and style. The first part of the day was wonderful!(massage and facial) The pedi was average. I could have done a better job myself. It was all downhill from there. There was an argument on who was going to do my makeup(I guess the girl who was supposed to wanted to leave early, she had other plans...) There was also arguing over who would do my hair. All of this took place while I was watching. EXTREMLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!! Finally a backup did my make up(it was awful!) And I was stuck with an apprentice for my hair. The shampoo was awful, my hair wasn't even completly wet before shampoo went in and she obviously had no clue how to blow dry(very nervous and no coordination). I tried to give her a chance, everyone has to learn somehow. But in the end I had her stop 1/2 way through and left having to shower,re-apply make up and do my own hair!!!! making us late to our dinner reservations!!!! I would never never advise anyone to go to this salon. more

I recently had a haircut by Whitney K. at this salon. She was AWESOME! She was very friendly and easy to talk to and listened to exactly what I wanted. I left there with the best hair cut I have ever had! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that I had to wait about 25-30 minutes past my appointment time to be seen, but it was well worth the wait! more

This was my first visit to Par Exsalonce & my my first time getting a brazilian wax.... Carmen was amazing and made me feel so comfortable and not to mention did a fabulous job! Will definitely be going back and would reccommend to anyone! more

I was told on the phone my wax would cost $60. After receiving the service and going to pay they told me it was $80. I told them on the phone they quoted me $60. So the lady went to talk to the stylist and later informed me it is up to the person who performs the service. GREAT JOB you made $20 extra one time and lost $60 every 6 weeks for who knows how long. I will never go back to this salon for wax services. more

I live in CA, but needed my hair done badly which visiting family. I called the salon and they matched me up with Heidi for a color and foils. Heidi was nice, professional, and fun. My hair looks nice and healthy. I would definitely go to her again. more

I requested an appt and was booked with Heidi. What a wonderful first impression! She listened, gave suggestions and I ended up with the haircut I wanted. I had a 90 min massage appointment on Wednesday, 9/14 at the Overland Park location. I have always had great experiences at this salon, but today was not so. I was initially hesitant because the masseuse I have worked with during all of my massages at the salon does not work there anymore, nor would anyone tell me where she went. When I arrived, the girl who took came to take me back to the locker room took four of us back at once and explained everything to us as a group. The 3 other women had never been to the salon before and were confused about what to wear, where to go, etc., and the explanations the girl gave were not at all sufficient. None of us were offered anything to drink during our time in the relaxation area. When I asked if there were any Kleenexes in this room, she seemed put off. The room was not quiet or dark.My massage was not very good either. I felt like it was a huge waste of my money to get a 90 min massage, which I have previously always been thrilled with, and not feel relaxed or relieved at the end. The room was cold, there was very little scent used, and my face and lower back were skipped entirely. Near the end, I realized I was just ready to be done with the whole thing and that has never happened.Overall I am very disappointed with my experience. more
