Paloma Salon & Micro Spa

I absolutely love this place. This past Friday I had the pleasure of getting my haircut by Bruce. He really took the time to make me feel pampered. The haircut started with a scalp massage with essential oils for my hair followed by a shampoo and conditioning with Paul Mitchell products a brand I love and trust. Bruce used techniques I had never seen any other stylist use to thin and texture my hair. I have thick Hispanic hair so thinning out is a must for me. Moving here from Texas I had some trouble finding a new stylist needless to say that I have found my new stylist while my husband is station here in Colorado Springs. They also gave me military discount with my dependent ID which I was thrilled about :)!! Over all great atmosphere, professional staff and wonderful service. more

Finding a great stylist is, I believe one of the greatest challenges we can face! After doing some research and reading some other posts on Paloma, I made the call with much trepidation, hoping beyond reality to find someone to help me with several months' growth and silver strands among the masses of dark tresses with which I have been genetically gifted. My call was answered by an exceptionally talented professional named Charli who took me in with such charm and poise as she drew the long requited fun from this ""southern belle"". I LOVE my hair! You can bet, I'll be spreading the word! more

Ethan is not just a hairstylist, he is genuine, down to earth, and wants to help you express yourself, for whatever that means to you. Women especially should see him because he really has a great eye for cut and color (I happen to live with him, so I've seen a lot of his results in person). I've never seen a dissatisfied person leave his chair or not rave about something (I particularly like his scalp massage, and he taught me how great blow drying is... I never knew). While newly licensed, He is an excellent stylist devoted to his craft. I would strongly recommend him to anyone that wants a ""stylist"" with no hidden agenda. Just great hair for you. more

My hairstylist at Paloma is Corrina and I LOVE her! I was recommended to go to her from a friend after my dark brown hair was completely ruined with highlights from someone else at another salon. It was breaking off and every time I brushed my hair, it looked like cotton candy was in my brush. It was horrible. She was able to completely fix my hair and made it look and feel healthy and normal again. Most of my stylists before never listened to what I want when it came to a cut, and I was always unhappy until it started to grow out again, but Corrina always remembers how I like my hair and does a perfect job every time. She is so talented and I will forever come to her when I want my hair done. Paloma also has a great atmosphere! I've never been on a busy day, but it's pretty quiet and relaxing. I love the building on the inside and the location downtown. It's definitely clean and professional. It's truly the best and if you're questioning on where to go, definitely go there and get an appointment with Corrina. She is the best! more

I used to go to Bruce when he was at Miran's at the Antler's. I finally found him again and WOW! My hair is curly and long, and was all one length. It was doing nothing for me. Bruce transformed it with perfect color & highlights AND gave me the most wonderful haircut I've had in a decade! A month later and I'm still in love! And it's still long! He isn't cut happy & really knows curly hair! That alone is so hard to find. The atmosphere is relaxing & soothing from the moment you walk in. Everyone is very friendly and it feels more like hanging with friends than getting your hair done! I am so thrilled to find Bruce again & I was not disappointed! I was awed! It's been a long time since I've been so happy with my hair! As it says in the rating.....run, don't walk! more

My husband bought me a gift certificate at Paloma for my birthday for a massage, manicure/pedicure. I had never been to this particular establishment and absolutely LOVED IT!!!! The moment that I walked in I was greeted with friendly faces and a very warm welcome. My massage was tranquil and very relaxing, Kristi really knew what she was doing. My manicure and pedicure was wonderful. Me and my technician had a real good conversation and she really did a great job on my hands and feet. I would recommend and will recommend everyone to come in. I will make this my brand new salon! more

I've walked by this salon many times and on a whim, decided to stop in and have my hair cut. My boyfriend wanted me to grow it out, but it was getting too long for my taste. I went inside where I was greeted by Janine. She brought me back to her chair, where she listened to my indecisive thoughts about what I wanted and didn't want. She was so patient with me, which I appreciated greatly. I decided on a hair style I wanted and let her get to work cutting. I even got a mini-massage before she started! I have to admit I dozed off while she washed my hair, too. Magic fingers! When she was finished, I loved the edgy style she had given me! It has been about a month now and my hair still looks great. My boyfriend loves it, too, which is a definite plus! I have found my new go-to hair lady! Highly recommended. more

I got a haircut from Kristi last weekend, and it was absolutely great! I had long hair down my back, and I wanted to go with a shorter length, but one with some texture that I wouldn't have to style too much. She gave me exactly what I wanted, and was super friendly! If you have curly hair, DO NOT go to Paloma Salon & especially DO NOT have Janine touch a single beautiful curl. This woman does not know how to cut curly hair. I am now the owner of a horrible hair cut. I have never cried over a haircut until now. It will be months or perhaps years before this ugly cut grows out. I had beautiful spiral curls. Now my hair looks like rats have chewed it up. If I could give negative stars, I would.\r I'm telling everybody I know to stay away from PALOMA SALON & JANINE. more

If you are going to get your hair cut and/or styled you have to go to Paloma Salon and Micro Spa. And Make sure you get Hannah as your stylist. I NEVER let anyone cut my hair because they can never do it right or just turns out bad, etc. I let her cut my hair today and not even joking, my hair looks outstanding, I've never had someone cut my hair this good. Also Nicole, who is a nail technician there, is wonderful,she really took her time to make sure my nails were perfect. I wouldn't reccomend anywhere else in the springs but Paloma Salon and Micro salon more

I had been in Paloma last month when my husband went to have his dreadlocks done. While there I watched Bruce do a few haircuts and decided some day he would cut my hair because he seemed so creative. Today was that day. I just shut my eyes and said ""I have no idea what to do with it, that's why I'm here."" He came through with flying colors. The style is flattering, fun, bouncy, and easy to keep up. I will definitely be back and hope others find this place as well. Corrina is also now doing my husband's dreadlocks. She rocks. it's taken him a year to find the right person who does them properly and like he wants them to look. She's awesome and has a new fan with him (And with me because she does such a great job at making him look awesome). more

I was visiting COS on business and just stumbled across this shop. I was a walk-in and didn't know a thing about the quality of the hair cut I was about to get. No kidding, out of 50 years of haircuts it was the best cut I have ever had. I normally have issues with my hair about two weeks after I leave the Barber, but not this time. I needed a haircut two weeks ago but decided to go saggy until I could make it back to COS. Even shaggy it still looks good. Thanks Bruce. more

This salon is amazing. More people NEED to know about Paloma. The people are friendly, and they really know what they are doing. I had a great haircut from Kristi and a relaxing manicure and pedicure with Nicole. I am really pleased with the services I got at this salon. I've been waxed many time before but this was my first time using Paloma Salon. The people seemed friendly, timely, and polite enough. The environment was nice.\r \r And, I developed a very painful case of folliculitis (infected hair follicles) that required oral antibiotics and a topical agent. It still hurts and I might scar. Having been waxed many times before, I've never had a problem. My doctor said it could be a combination of incorrect sanitary procedures on the salon's part (dirty wax, dirty spatulas, esthetician not wearing gloves, etc, etc) and/or it could be a combination of where my body was at that particular day and time. \r \r So, if you try it out, just be sure you ask that the people wear gloves and if the waxing utensils are clean and sanitary! Pros: Friendly, polite, cool staff Cons: I developed a bad case of follicuitis requiring meds more

Everyone in Colorado Springs should experience the fun I did while getting a haircut and manicure/pedicure. The staff was professional and personable. I went on a Tuesday and they bought me a great lunch from Smiley's!\r \r They did a great job and the cost was very fair compared what I was used to spending at another spa. I highly recommend them. Pros: cozy, professional atmosphere Cons: not enough people know about it more
