Overrated and Overpriced: Don't Go 9/14/2010

We had to wait 1h to get a table on a Friday. Service was slow, and we got little attention from the waiters. The food was just OK, and very expensive for what it was. I don't mind paying the price but expected something a lot better. I have never been to China but I am quite sure this was pretty far from actual Chinese food. Actually your local Chinese restaurant round the corner will have better food for half the price. Also the AC made the place much too cold, which made the experience worse, and we were happy to leave. Then if you prefer style to food, it could be your place as it is indeed nicely decorated. more

not all that 7/25/2003

Our first visit to PF Chang's left us quite unsatisfied. I had 18 in my group, most of which did not enjoy the meal. I had the ""honey shrimp"" which really was good. But I tried several other dishes and didn't like them at all. They were much too dry. The sauces were not good, either. The portions were not as big as most chinese restaurants and for the price, I'd hoped to get more. The atmosphere was nice, yet loud. I will not go back unless I have to and I will just order the same dish. I recommend Golden Phoenix. I always leave very satisfied with them. Pros: atmosphere Cons: taste, value, parking more

You call this good Chinese? 7/21/2003

Let me start with the good. PFC's has beautiful interior design, and this may sound unconventional, but I also like my food to taste good too...so, there had to be more to this place. Well, turns out, there wasn't...the quality and taste of the Chinese cuisine at PFC's tastes like it was cooked up by a guy named Wilbur instead of Wong. I guess all the Terra Cota and beautiful Chinese artistry is there to fool you into thinking that you're really eating authentic Chinese. Well, my eyes may have been fooled but my tastebuds certainly were not. I give PFC's a resounding two chopsticks down. Pros: Nice decorations. Cons: Food is awful., Too pricey. more

Good Chinese food 1/18/2003

We received excellent service after a group of us showed up to celebrate my sister's birthday. She had never been there before. She is currently training a guide dog and some restaurants don't allow dogs or make it difficult to receive service. No problems here as are server was great and we were seated within a minute after showing and making the request to bring the dog along. The server deserved the big tip we left! Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Parking more

Not all that !!!!!!!!!! 1/9/2003

The Best in Utah!!! 11/9/2002

A favorite of ours since we first found them in Newport Beach in California. Food is wonderful and beautifully prepared. Excellent. The only finer Chinese we have had was in San Francisco at Tommy Toys. Pros: Great food, Lovely Decor-clean, Unique Cons: Too long of wait, A bit noisy more

out of 10 I would give it a 6 11/9/2002

We went there with our family. The wait was quite long, but we were okay with that. The room was way to dark, that was not okay. The food was just barely above average. We were told that it was as good or better than the Mandarin. Not So! Not Even Close! Pros: Servings Very Small Cons: Too Dark more

GREAT EVENING OUT! 10/18/2002

Visited last Monday for the first time. We beat the rush by arriving at 5 p.m. The lettuce cup appetizers were fabulous! A definite must! Also had the honey shrimp, pork fried rice, and mongolian beef. Excellent evening! Service couldn't have been better and we were able to sit in a booth and watch as the rush began! Get there early! Pros: FOOD, SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE Cons: PARKING, NO RESERVATIONS more

An experience 10/4/2002

lettuce wraps 10/4/2002

All I can say is LETTUCE WRAPS! I love the ala carte, you can try 5 different things at once instead of ordering one item. But you definitely need to try the lettuce wraps. Pros: food, atmosphere Cons: crowded more

Chinese Food? 9/9/2002

This is not Chinese, it's American food, the setting is beautiful and romantic, but, do you call this Chinese food? more

Good food - long wait! 9/3/2002

The food here is really good but the wait is so long. If you like chinese food with a flair - this is your place. Just make sure you and your party get their early to put your name down on the list. Sometimes they will not seat you if your whole party isn't there. The atmoshere is cool but don't expect to have a private conversation - it's very loud! Pros: great food, good atmosphere Cons: loud, long wait more

Yummy 8/26/2002

lifesaver 8/12/2002

I was diagnosed with celiac disease(gluten intolerance) a year ago and was devasted that the foods I used to enjoy, would be off limits. Chinese has always been my favorite food. However, soy sauce is made from wheat. When I found out from a support group that I could eat at P.F Changs, I was skeptical. I went there, and told my waiter my problem. I found out that staff member had been educated about celiac disease. They catered to my every need. I can't tell you how much this means to me. I can now go somewhere, and feel like I'm not the odd man out. Thank you P.F Changs. You saved me. I cannot thank you enough Pros: call in reservation Cons: long wait more
