Worst

Absolutely horrible from-a-box quality food. I didn't even have to *pay* for my meal, and wished I'd eaten elsewhere and re-gifted my gift card to someone I didn't like.

Love This Place 5/6/2011

I read some of the negaitve reviews and was totally shocked. It must have just been a bad night because we have been going to the Outback on 82nd for a couple of years now and love it. We've pretty much tried everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. About the bloomin onion, you either like it or you don't. I love it, my husband doesn't so get something else. Our steaks have always been perfect, the clam chowder is the best around and their salads are always fresh and loaded. Goin there tonight!! more

Terrible experience dining in the bar area 5/23/2009

This was an unique experience that I hope never to encounter again and we had to pay for this experience. My son and his neighbor sat in the bar area and ordered , the bread that was brought out my son started to eat, since it is darkish in the restaurant you can't always see everything clearly. He said it tasted funny. It was moldy. Of course it was sent back. First sign that something was not right. I joined them for a diet coke, and their dinners came. Our friend went to move his dinner and the plate was very hot, they have this tray thing that they set the food on and he needed to slide it down closer to us. He was ouch, ouch , ouch and the server just looked at him. Finally she decided to help him out. Not good. then the waiteress bar tender or whatever she was was mad. It went down hill from there. We asked for the bill and left. I had about 1/2 of my diet coke. The steak was not done, in fairness the shrimp appetizer was good. This experience cost $60.00 without the tip. It was not an enjoyable experience, the food was not good and the servers were unpleasant. Save your money and go somewhere else. They were not busy, it should have been a pleasant experience. Someone was having a bad attitude day. Another Outback location might be better. Pros: The shrimp was good. Cons: Bread that they served was moldy and bad customer service more

good togo service 11/5/2006

We had some good luck with their togo service.... most places don't take the time to even get your order correct although we felt outback went above and beyond with our order. We had everything we needed and the food was great! more

How to mess up a steak 6/8/2006

As far as I'm concerned, Outback has the patent on how to mess up a steak. There are many ways to do it, but this place is the only place I know that has done it in every way. The cooks don't seem to know the degrees of bloodiness between bloody, rare, medium rare, medium well, and so on so you might as well not order steak b/c it's not going to come out the way you want it anyway. The beer steins are made of really thick glass so you look like you're getting a legitimate pint but you're really getting pretty much a measly can for around $7. The bloomin' onion is their signature dish outside of their horrendous steaks, but I'd probably pass unless you want to be drowned in salt. The texture of the onion is great, and it certainly looks impressive but then the salt hits you and you're tempted to pay another $7 for beer to wash the taste away. Outback is altogether way too expensive as previously mentioned, but steakhouses tend to be that way anyway. I'd recommend you just buy a steak from Trader Joe's, season it with salt and pepper, dry mustard, and tabasco, grill it, and you've already got a steak infinitely better than anything Outback can produce. Another couple bucks, and you have a case of beer to chase down your steak and 20lbs of potatoes to mash for a side course. There, from the money you would have spent at Outback, you'd still have $40 to do with what you will, and you still have 18lbs of potatoes left to fry in duck fat or something. Why people pay for this glorified mall fare is beyond me. Pros: bloomin' onion, but only if you like salt a lot Cons: steaks more

Only The Best 12/13/2002

Only the best food is served at Outback Steak House , You might not agree, but I have dined at a few restaurants from coast to coast and for me, Outback never disapoints as other restaurants have. You can expect only the best cuts of meat and the friendliest service anywhere!!!! more

Let's go to a REAL steakhouse, mate. 10/9/2002

After waiting in line for over 20 minutes to get a seat, and after going into the bathroom to rub my ears because of the noise, my wife, friend and I ordered. Bloomin' Onion was great, main entrees were a total let down--and then the bill came! Good God almighty! $65.00 and we were still hungry! This is just another one of those trendy places where the yuppies like to hang out and brag that they went there. I was glad my friend was paying the bill and I wasn't. I will never darken this place's door again. Pros: Comfortable booths, Bloomin' Onion Cons: EXPENSIVE, TOO CROWDED, AGAIN, EXPENSIVE more

Better in Utah! 10/6/2002

My husband and I used to love going to Outback in our former state of residence, Utah. Oddly, the food was not as good here, though we've been only once and will go again, hoping it was a fluke. I love the shrimp on the barbie appetizer and all the desserts. The dark bread is the main reason we keep returning -- hot from the oven, yum! more

Wonderful 10 8/11/2002

We have had many great meals in this resturant and have always been greatly satisfied with the service and prices and food. Pros: Food, Service, Value Cons: restrooms, noisy more
