Nippers Corner Pet Medical Ctr

Brought my 10lb dog in for a simple teeth cleaning for ""Feb dental health month"" and ended up with over a $600 bill for surgery that I didn't approve and wasn't notified that it would be possible or necessary. Feels like a bait and switch ... 10% off means... we double the bill first... then take 10% off. I was planning to go out of town for vacation this weekend but, now I had to cancel because I have a special friend in pain and on antibiotics. Whatever happened to communication and letting the pet owners decide...? more

I see everyone complaining about pricing but I don't see their prices anymore than our old vet. I feel very confident in their assessment of my doggies. I truly feel they care about the animals. I really appreciate going in and not being overwhelmed with the smell of animals. It is very clean. I would recommend them to anyone. more

okay, i will say that everyone is nice here, but they are way too expensive. $32 per new pet fee. and then another fee for a checkup. they REQUIRE way too many tests and shots. i have been told by my moms vet that the ONLY important shots a cat needs is Respiratory and Rabies. those are the only two needed. this place made us test for about 3-4 things and we paid over $250 for just 2 cats needing to be neutered WITH CERTIFICATES! i appreciate the kindness of the people, but they need to work on their fees and prices for everything. more

Vet is very nice and extremely knowlegable. The staff has always been kind and friendly and take a real interest in the health of my cats and my concern for their well-being. I have gone to vets who were insulted if any questions were asked, but Dr. Torchia is very happy to explain why she suggesting certain things and isn't put out if you say, ""I don't think I want to do this or that."" I have alot of personal experience w/ Nippers Corner Pet Medical Center. To some people the prices might be a bit high, but its a beautifully kept, privately owned veterinary clinic. Its not some corporate owned clinic crouched in the corner of a pet store. Dr. Torchia has many years of experience and her staff is always polite and willing to answer any questions I might have. Appointments can be made almost always the same day I call, grooming or seeing the veterinarian. They are always welcoming new clients and you can feel free to stop in and take a tour of the building any time you'd like. To me, my pets are my kids and I want the best care for them possible. I feel I get this at Nippers Corner Pet Medical Center. Oh..and when you stop in make sure and pet ""Forrest"" on the head for me! (He's Dr. Torchias pet Golden Retriever!) I recently took my dogs to this clinic for their yearly shots, I didn't go to my regular vet because this new vet Nippers Corner was right down the street.... Pros: Nice Vet. Cons: WAY TOO expensive!!!!! more
