Twins opening day a success 4/13/2006

I was at the Twins home opener, and it was great to see a full stadium! However, I was surprised at the amount of people who left early and missed the excitement at the end of the game...oh well, their loss I guess. Go Twins tonight, and lets hope that this home stretch can get them on track to a playoff season. more

FUN! FOOD! MORE FUN! 8/18/2005

Twins games are so much fun to go to! The kids love all of the activities that go on in addition to the baseball game. Before entering the metrodome there are always games and food to kill time. Then, once inside there are obviously people everywhere to watch. There are many food choices. They do a great job of getting kids involved even when it's not kids day by having fun things on the jumbotron, giveaways, and an adorable mascot. This is such a fun family event! more

Bad stadium, good team 8/17/2005

The Minnesota Twins are a pretty exciting team to watch, but it’s hard to keep awake in the Metrodome. Even for a true baseball fan, it’s hard to stay through an entire game unless you really have a deep interest in the team. The ballpark is simply bleak. What seems to be an enormous blue garbage bag covers where the right field bleacher should be. If it doesn’t happen to be a playoff game or a football game, the notoriously loud stadium is deafeningly silent. It’s often a long walk to the concession stand and the vendors are scarce. The plus is that it’s a very easy and cheap ticket to see major league baseball. more
