great! 4/11/2017

The individual who talked about freezer burn needs to understand that a frost-free freezer is the worst thing for storage of any food since the temperature widely fluctuates and moisture is precipitated out of the freezer in order to avoid frost. I love our freezer, and it's only about 2xs a year that I defrost it--and that is an easy job: put the food in coolers, leave the door ajar, a few hours later, dry with old towels. How hard is that. We had Home Pride many years ago and quit only because of financial restrictions. We miss it and would go back in a heartbeat. Great food! more

Scam all the way 2/8/2013

Home Pride /Milk2You uses high pressure and misleading sales tactics to get customers locked into a long term contract. 2) The sales person, Mitch Lillie misrepresented the food as 1) cheaper than grocery stores 2) locally grown/raised products 3) of high quality. Our experience has been that the food is in fact many times more expensive than grocery stores, the meat products are from a company located in North Carolina. Generally, the quality is comparable to local grocery stores, if not a lower quality cut of meat or frozen produce. 3) Milk2You/ Home Pride Foods is unwilling to discuss cancellation of any contracts and instead Craig Fees tried to pressure me into another contract with them, even as he was walking out my front door. 4) The freezer was misrepresented as a high end commercial freezer that was frost free and not available through normal retail outlets. Upon delivery, the freezer is in actuality a Frigidaire commercial freezer which is available for ~$550 retail at Nebraska Furniture Mart. The freezer is not frost free and I now have some freezer burnt food that is inedible. This is one of many "food company" fronts run by Jefferson Financial out of Norcross, Georgia. Look into internet searces on Jefferson Financial, Southern Foods, Service Foods, Blue Ribbon Foods and others. They all use the same business model of a long term food contract and "free" item such as the freezer (some companies have used grills and "high end" knife sets in the past). Home Pride was based in Iowa from ~1998-2008 before finally being sued and run out of Iowa by the Attorney General's office. Wish Nebraska would do the same. more

We tried this company thinking it would be good for us from what the sales lady said. Well we were wrong, don't trust them, they come into your house sell you their company by manipulating you into signing their contract. The sales rep did not do what she said. We never recieved all of our food. Don't be fooled more

A good value for the busy family 9/12/2005

We have enjoyed using Milk 2 You since it came out in Omaha several years back. We have always had very good experiences with it in terms of reliable helpful people delivering food and grocery items weekly at fairly good prices. (There is currently only a delivery fee of $1.80 per week.) The Milk 2 You truck comes weekly to your house, and you hand the driver your selections on their order form left over from last week. (If you're not home during the day, arrangements can be made to leave items in a garage freezer, or something similar.) The order form includes weekly specials and regular price items such as milk and dairy products like butter, eggs, ice cream, yogurt, etc. to frozen meals, bread, meats and convenience items like pop, toilet paper, pop-tarts and more. Prices are not what you would find in a grocery store for every item. Milk and eggs are often cheaper than grocery store prices, but other items like pop-tarts you might pay 50 cents more than you would at a grocery store. The main thing is, Milk 2 You is CONVENIENT. It saves me a trip to the store for last minute needs and sometimes I'll use the excellent quality frozen meats for a last minute dinner idea. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. more
