We were fortunate enough to have chosen Mickey Mantle's as the location of our parent's 50th anniversay celebration on Sunday. Our parents did not want a big party, only their children and grandchildren and son-in laws and daughter-in-law. You opened escpecially for us and it was wonderful. The food was great and the service was fantastic. The young man that served us was exceptional. We will recommend you to everyone from now on. Our parents were thrilled and even the little ones emjoyed it. Thank you so very much for helping us to make their 50 year celebration of marriage such a wonderful event to remember. It was absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!! more

I just wanted to let you know that everything went perfectly on Saturday and there were nothing but compliments from my co-workers and their spouses. All of the servers were absolutely wonderful. They got the space together for the actors from the mystery dinner group, made excellent drink recommendations and served the food very quickly. The food was delicious and I'm sure you'll have some new loyal customers as I overheard many people say they would be coming back soon. Thank you for all of your help to make this a successful evening. Please pass along our praises to the servers, bar & kitchen staff! more

This place is a must! 6/27/2011

This is a must go to place when I am in town. I try not to eat for several hours so I can enjoy the 22oz ribeye and the tomato/mozzarella salad. This sometimes brings back memories of the Mickey Mantles in NYC... but this one in OKC is better by far. There really isnt any place in the area that competes at this level of service or quality. The building looks great and is a good idea of what is going to happen inside. Parking can be a challenge if there is an event next door so use the valet or be prepared to walk. more

Very enjoyable evening 6/18/2007

My husband and I had dinner at Mickey Mantle's for our anniversary and it was truly a memorable evening. Everything we ate: appetizers, salads, entrees and sides were delicious. The service was impeccable. We had one slight problem, our ala carte sides were not delivered with our meal, we explained this to the server and the sides were promptly brought (1-2 minutes tops). This seemed to bother the management and staff more than it did us, as we were offered many apologies as well as free dessert and the items were comped, none of which we requested. Yes the meal was pricey, more than most okies expect to pay, but for the top notch food and excellent service, we didn't mind. more

Something else to be desired... 4/4/2007

My wife and I went here for Valentines Day last year and were sorely disappointed. We chalked it up to the special menu and the numerous diners that night, and thought we would give it another shot for my birthday this year. Again, disappointment. The lobster tail had small pieces of the shell that we had to pick out, and the flavor of the filter mignon steak was marginal at best. We also opted for the mesquite cold smoked asparagus that night, a chef's special. The smoked flavor was overwhelming. At first I thought the steaks had been burnt, but soon realized it was only the asparagus. For a total price tag of $175, of which only 20% was a bottle of wine, much better food can be had around the city for a lot less money. more

I went and had the caesar and a ribeye. Salad was very good, steak was pretty good. Nice atmosphere. Bartender was excellent. Pros: good bartender more

We rarely choose to spend a lot of money for a dinner out. Usually try to keep it to about $30 for two. We chose Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse for a holiday occasion and were sorely disappointed. When you order steak for $25, it would have been nice to have a potato or at least some steamed veggies. Nothing but the steak on the plate and it was chewy. My husband didn't even finish it. I had pasta with shrimp (4 shrimp). We will never go again. By the time we paid the tip, it was $68 for one steak, one salad and a plate of pasta with four shrimp. Total waste of the evening out. Would have liked to ask for my money back but didn't want to make a scene. Pros: Nice surroudings Cons: Food a big disappointment more

Fantastic staff & even better food 8/15/2006

The staff were fantastic! The waiter was very professional, knew the menu & answered all questions, even suggesting splitting the side dishes (family style). His wine suggestion was also dead on, a great reisling. The rest of the staff were very unobtrusive but immediately at the table to refill glasses, clear dishes or answer any questions. Pros: Service, Quality, Valet Parking Cons: Definitely NOT a cheap date place more

My Only Stop In OKC and Mickey Mantle's Put It Out of the Park 6/26/2006

I was in town on business staying one night in OKC and was in the mood for steak. Great recommendation by a local who mentioned Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse. Traveling on business has taken me far and wide with plenty of celebrity restaurants, but Mantle's is among the best when it comes to steak. The filet was a perfect cut, welll prepared with sides to match that were simply mouth watering. An extensive wine list was expected and again Mantle's came to the plate. Pros: Great service, location, and food Cons: Um...none more

Fan freakin tastic 6/4/2006

This is the place for steaks in OKC. It seems pricey for some locals, but if you have been to a Morton's, Ruths Chris, or Del Frisco, it is about the same cost. The wine list is great, the steaks are fantastic, and the decor is what you would expect of a top-notch room. The filet was melt in your mouth tender and cooked to perfection.
