Operational since 1962, Methodist Retirement Communities is a nonprofit services ministry that serves senior citizens in east Texas. It offers low-income housing, residential and assisted living, nursing and dementia care and home health services. The ministry operates through more than five campuses in Galveston, Huntsville, Bryan, La Porte, Lufkin and Texarkana, Texas. Methodist Retirement Communities additionally offers Alzheimer's care services. It provides apartment-style living and patio homes and a choice of dining options.
