Mediterranean Market & Deli

I can't make it to Granatos on 300 West 1300 South so I go to Mediterranean hoping THIS TIME the food will be ok. Everytime I walk away the food tastes like dirty refrigerator!!! From the cheese case to the olive case. I can't imagine they use bad olive oil to soak the olives but after being refrigerated the oil is like hardened lard on the olives which is very disgusting looking. I will ALWAYS go across town to Frank Granatos, always the BEST, fresh, yummy and worth the ride into Salt Lake. more

I've never had a bad experience at The Med. I've ordered platers, pastas and lunch here for years. As an employee, I couldn't ask for a more friendly real and welcoming environment. I have been welcomed as part of the family. Bon appetito! more

I have been going to the Mediterranean for years and feel it is time to write the review I should have long ago. I love the food offered in the deli. Everything is always so fresh and flavorful. The store has a great selection of specialty items and I have ALWAYS had great service. Keep up the Great work!! more

I have had the pleasure of eating at functions that were catered from the Mediterranean Market & Deli as well as having lunch at the deli. I have never been disappointed in the food or service. I always make a point of recommending the deli, and suggest you give it a try! more

Annette has catered several weddings and other family functions for me. She is always friendly, accomodating and she makes terrific food for a great price. Every time I buy from her....I feel good about it. I recommend her to anyone having any size of an event where you want to serve great food! more

Annette Ravarino (owner) ASSAULTED me, INSULTED my husband? TERRIBLE, DISGUSTING Greek salad: Wilted brown lettuce, spoiled feta, rotten tomatoes, soggy expired olives $8. I told Annette I was unhappy, the salad was not satisfying (or edible). She screamed, ?Can?t your husband read? He should?ve known!? SHE WAS MANIC. I asked if I could trade it. She said absolutely NOT! It?s not MY fault you?re unhappy. It?s yours!? I was stunned. I tried to reason saying, ?I?m not accusing you. It?s nobody?s fault and unnecessary to place blame. I thought you?d appreciate feedback.? She said, I shouldn?t have to do anything for you. My husband was shocked. (BTW, his pasta was bland, gross.) Annette Ravarino's behavior was inappropriate, disrespectful and offensive. She's a BULLY. She's as rotten as the food she serves. She hates people. She?s verbally abusive to her employees. She?s so unhappy with her life, she takes frustration and anger out on innocent people. STAY far AWAY from the Mediterranean Market & Deli and Annette Ravarino. Don?t support bullies! Give your business to Caputo?s, Granato?s, Greek Market & Deli and ARISTO?S. ARISTO?S HAS THE BEST GREEK FOOD IN UTAH. I?m going to enjoy my evening now. A fresh chicken kabob skewer from ARISTO?S is making me forget about the worst food I?ve ever eaten. Tomorrow I?ll get a real Greek salad from Greek Market & Deli. Cheers Annette!
