McNeill Keith Plbg Contr Inc

On 11/4/2016 David with Keith McNeill stopped by to fix a leak. He was unable to fix and said he would have to return 11/7/2016 with a helper. when asked for a estimate he said $10,000.00 and laughed. cost $210.00 $105.00 for David and $105.00 Travel time ( clock starts at Capital Circle ). He said if we wanted water for the weekend to turn it on when needed and off when done (outside ). David returned 11/7/1016 at 8:06 AM was done by 2:00 PM (6 hours). Bill was for 8 hours labor at $165.00/Hour. we live by the Bloxham cutoff ( 35 miles max round trip ) total travel time $330.00 for one 35 mile round trip. Sent e-mail week of 11/7/2016 no response. Called week of 11/14/2016 no response. I think travel time cost is excessive. It is now 12/7/2016 and we have yet to hear back from Keith Mcneill Plumbing. Don't look for customer service unless we just fell through the cracks. more

It is hard finding a good plumber in Tallahassee. But I would not recommend Keith McNeill. They hooked my house up to city water and sewer at the street (converting from a well) and failed to hook up part of the house (the drain from the washing machine). So after I closed I saw all this soapy water coming up from around my driveway. Called them. (stupidly) and they gave me an est based on certain work and so many hrs. But they did not have to do all the work or all the hrs and yet I got a big fat bill I had to argue w them over. They did after badgering reduce it. But I would not use them again. more

My last post....after talking with the repair guy...I was wrong...We both apologized...for our attitude about the problem. I really did appreciate him talking with me about the situation. I was just really upset about paying more money on the problem, which they solved. more

We have used McNeill plumbin gonece before, adn have nothing but good things to say about teh service received. The owner even wrote hand written thanky ou note afgter what I consideer ot have been a minimal job, so we were VERY impresssed by that level of attntion to detial. The staff is very friendly, but needemetnioning that the oeple who answer the phoen are very hard to understand and then when you ask them a question to clarify, they seem very confused. For example: After stating my name and that the account was under my finances name, the attendant asked me what is your relationship to him? After answering her, she seemed flustered and made me feel uncomfortable. When I called to reschedule my appointment the attendant asked me (either) what or when I had an appointment for? When I asked her to clarify which she had asked me, she seemed very confused saying "What? Or When?" Which in turn made me feel a little uncomfortable again, and then when I was transferred to the attendant that schedules the appointments, I come to find out my appointment is not i s then system and I have to repeat all of my information regarding the appointment again. All in all, they are fine and fairly sweet, but I will really think again about calling maybe emailing my appointment request. Because honestly they do great work for a great proce, and I just bbelive tht the phone staff could be a little more professional. I highly recommend because the work itself is excellent and the owner takes the time to write thank you notes! Thanks Mcneill Plumbing!! more

Paul arrived at the house and quickly introduced himself. I was impressed with his personality right away. I told him when I turned on the water it would start out with good pressure and then slow down to almost nothing. He said it was most likely the pressure reduction valve. He starting digging near the water meter where the valve is usually located but could not find the valve. I wasn't sure where the water line entered the house, but based on past experience, Paul started digging near the clean-out in the garden by the front door. He found the water line in the first hole he dug and with a little probing he found the box and the reduction valve. The line ran from the meter, under the driveway, and near the front door where it went through the pressure reduction valve and into the house. After Paul explained that all of the pipe between the meter and the pressure reduction valve wasn't protected from high water pressure, he recommended that we install the new valve near the water meter as it should be. I was totally amazed that Paul was able to find the valve so quickly and make the repairs in such a timely manner. Apparently this valve has been bad for quite some time (like 5 years) as now we can actually run the clothes washer and take a shower at the same time. We just thought it was bad water pressure from the city. This repair was well worth the money!! Paul was very pleasant, and he surely knew what he was doing. I have found my plumber in Tallahassee and will gladly recommend McNeill Plumbing to my friends. Thank you, Paul and McNeill Plumbing. more

I just want to drop a note to let you know how happy I am with my recent installation of the tankless water heater. Just a reminder that I was the house in Southwood with the lightning strike/fire. From the moment I first contact your company, everyone has been very professional and willing to help. You are the one, which also impressed me, that came out and did the initial walkthrough to see what would be the best service for me. My impressions carried through to my conversation with Nicole. She was very responsive and willing to help in any way she could and not to my surprise, she is still helping. When the tankless was installed about a month ago, Slade and Mike came to do the work. Those guys are great and I want to commend them on their professionalism and letting me know what was going on throughout the process. Once the gas dryer was delivered a few weeks later, Nicole set up the appointment and Johnny and Wesley were the techs that finished the job. They were great also. Very professional and as did Slade and Mike did on the first visit, they communicated to me exactly what they were doing. You have a great crew that we have been in personal contact with and I just wanted you be aware of that. Again, I appreciate everything and if there is any thing in the future that I may need done, we will be sure to give your company a call. Paul was methodical about protecting the floors before commencing any work. Removal of the old water heater was not simple due to a clogged drainage valve. He accepted my offer of providing minimal assistance in moving the old water heater (60% full of water) onto a moving dolly. I noticed several shortcomings in the installation of the previous water heater, which had been installed by a different company. Paul also noticed and mentioned these shortcomings to me and he told me his plans to "upgrade" the installation of the new water heater - drip pan, better valves, fittings and better hoses. The installation was completed, work area cleaned and normal operation of the new water heater verified by 11:30 am or so. The price was fair, based on the quality of the product, superior level of service and responsiveness. I could have probably paid a little less by shopping around and using a different plumber; however, my use of McNeil Plumbing is probably an excellent example of "you get what you pay for." I used McNeil Plumbing to replace a different water heater 2 years ago. Glad I called them again! more

I had to have my concrete slab home re-piped. I made the decision to have this done after another plumbing company found three leaks under the slab. I requested three quotes, and when I met with Keith Mc Neill, I was impressed with him and the way he spoke of his loyal team of employees. He assured me that his team would do the job right, and McNeill was only as good as his men. His quote did come in higher than the other ones that I received, but something about the pride that Keith took in his employees made me go with their team. I was not just satisfied when my job was done! I was clapping and I had to hug both Slade and Mike for doing such an awesome job on the house!! They did very little damage which surprised me, as other plumbers were going to cut through walls, and bust up tile, etc. Not these two. They took their time, and even though they could have made it easier on themselves and done things another way, they choose to work hard, and do as little damage as possible, cleaned up as they went, and they completed the job ahead of schedule. Having your home re piped is very stressful. Even though Mc Neill was more expensive on the front end, I am sure I saved money by not having to hire a sheet rock person, get new tile installed and patch and paint walls!!! I cannot say enough good things about Keith and his staff. Everyone was professional and helpful, and they exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds!! Had three Experiences with Keith Mc Neil : 1. Water Heater was down, called their office, plumber came and replaced Thermostat.... service was good 2. Called plumber to replace flush system....the oncall person waisted 30 minutes outside house calling other guy for a part which was not required at my place and then he included those 30 minutes in the time he spent on my place and charhed me for that-----very bad experience 3. Third time it was horrible : The water heater again not working, Called their office, they messed up with my phone # and called to some other guy. I called 4 times to their office and the service coordinator told yes someone will be there but no one showed up till 6 PM. I called again then the lady asked the on call guy to call me. He called me and he said that he did not get any service call for me from his office and if I need to have him fix my heater he will charge after hours rate. So the whole day of followup with Keith Mc Neil company resulted into after hours charges and the guy did not show up till 6:30PM till the time of writing this review. more

I called for an estimate for major work that needed to be done (along with 3 other plumbing companies). Someone came out for 15-20 minutes, looked at my cement slab, never entered my house and wrote up an estimate for $4400. My insurance adjustor happened to be here at the same time and mentioned that he was pretty quick in giving me an estimate. The 3 other plumbing companies spent approx. 45 - 1 hour at my house, inside and out, with no charge. I suggest you notify your potential customers there will be a charge for the estimate prior to arriving, or at least upon arrival, but definitely before you send a bill. more

Thank you for introducing me to the Toxin Sheild and No-Salt Water Softener products. My water tastes much more crisp and fresh coming directly out of the tap, and the softer water results in my using less cleaning product as soap lathers much faster. The fact that it is a no-salt water softener means it is a double plus for the environment; no salt being dumped back into the public water system, and less soap going down the drain as well. My hair feels smoother, is more manageable, and shinier. The installation process was quick and professionally done, and I look forward to using the system for years to come. more

Just as the weekend was beginning so was trouble. The toilets and the bathtub started backing up. After trying to plunge away the problem with no success, my husband called McNeill Plumbing. They were at our house within a couple hours. The technician, Taylor R., was not only professional, but we were impressed at how polite he was. The issue turned out to be a bit complicated, but he did some troubleshooting and figured out the problem. He got it resolved and we were able to continue our weekend without worrying about plumbing issues. We had an issue today with a sewer line backup in the downstairs bathrooms. The issue started with what seemed only to be a clogged toilet. A service call was made to Keith McNeill Plumbing. After the initial call the problem worsened, so an additional call was placed to escalate our problem to an emergency. All of the companies technicians were already out on emergency calls, but we were assured they would get someone out to take care of the problem as soon as they had someone available. In somewhat of a panic due to the sewer seeping out of the restrooms in to the foyer, seeping under the walls into Private Banking, and the smell, I placed a call to Chase, leaving him a message on his cell phone. I left the bank to go visit a customer. When I returned, I found Chase here personally working on the problem. Not only that, he personally mopped up the horrible mess from the sewer backup. Thats what I call extraordinary customer service and a great example of Leadership & Humility. more

As a property manager I look for companies to work with that get the job done right and right away so that I can keep my tenants and landlords both happy. These guys are the perfect example. Their employees are always neat, thorough and polite. A great company to work with! more

Wow they are fast and do get it right the first time. My water heater had a leak and 2 bad valves. I got home just a couple minutes after Slade and Jeffrey got there and they had already found the leak, had the bad pipe and valve off and were preping the new pipe for installation. Took less than an hour for the whole job and charged less for the parts than I could have gotten them for myself. Thanks guys. more

I was referred to this company by a neighbor. I called them to come out because my water bill was more than $100 more expensive one month, and I could hear the toilet continuously running. The plumber came out and fixed it and told me to take his bill to the water company for an adjustment. The plumber was nice, fast and reasonably priced. I continue to recommend them. more
