As a do-it-your-selfer kind of guy who orders most of his parts off of the internet whenever one of my appliances breaks down, I had not had the pleasure of dealing with the MAIN ST (not the Tower Rd) Martin's Family Appliance Center until today, when I desperately needed a part for a ten-year-old washing machine. Somebody recommended Martin's Family Appliance to me. They were a lot cheaper than other big name competitors. Another company wanted to charge me just to have them come to my house to take a look at my washer. It only cost about 176 dollars to have them come out and fix it. Using them saved me a lot of money. The tech was a nice young guy who did his job and had good manors. more

To quote owner Gary Martin, ?I DON?T CARE.? We purchased a refrigerator from Martin?s Family Appliances 2 months ago and saw it at Best Buy this weekend for about HALF THE PRICE! When we made the purchase, Mr. Martin was quick to welcome us to the Martin family. Today I went to the store (on 4th Blvd.) and showed Mr. Martin the Best Buy ad. His response: We NEVER PRICE MATCH OR MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT. I explained that it was the EXACT SAME MODEL, but he claimed that the manufacturer makes special refrigerators just for Martin?s Appliances which have a 10 year warranty on the motor. Riiiiiiiiight? I expressed my dissatisfaction with the treatment he was giving a new customer and asked if this is how he treats ?family.? He said ?I DON?T CARE.? Buyer beware! more

This guy was a total jerk. He told me i needed these parts after calling his "technician" on the phone. I was very succinct in what my issue was. He wanted 40 bucks for 2 thermostats after he tells me i only need one but they don't sell them separate. . 8 bux online btw . . i take them home , immediately install, and of course it doesn't fix my problem. . i call him right up, he tells me i can't return them.. not 20 minutes after i've left his store. . he's trying to get me to bring in my dryer now .. paying gouged price .. then i tell him it wasn't very Christian, because he was throwing around all these "lords" and "god bless" and all that at the store . . and this MF hangs up on me.. do NOT go to this store. . they are wolves in lambs clothing more

We have used Martin's since they started in Gainesville. We have found them to always be honest and giving great service. I already have my next appliances picked out there when my current ones expire. \r They tell it to you how it is, but in a friendly way and are always looking for the best appliances at the best cost. more

We would not recommend Martin's Appliance on Main Street. The guy named chris is arrogant and seems interested until you have a non-functioning appliance. Even if the appliance is under warranty, he will find a way to blame it on the consumer to avoid repairing it and charge the customer. We had the worst experience with them and would never recommend them to anyone. more

We've used Martin's a few times to for various appliances. They are always prepared, honest, and not afraid to "tell it like it is". Their work has not failed yet, and they are always kind to my young son who is enthralled and curious and wants to watch what they are doing. Oh, and they had no problem taking off their boots when I asked! :-) more

My call was answered by a man by the name of Tommy. I had a very unusual parts request. Metric hoses for a washer manufactured for the European market. It took him all of 15 seconds to locate the part ( I had been laughed at by several other parts places) and he gave me a very good deal. I am hard to impress but these guys are good. Please don't confuse these guys with the other Martin appliance store in the Home Depot plaza off of Newberry road. I had been reluctant to call at first because I thought they were owned by the same people and I had a very bad experience there and have not been back in over 6 years. It is hard to find someone who is honest and helpful so lets help keep these guys prosperous. more

You can find anything you would find at a big store here. They offer all the big name brands and are competitively priced. They also have a scratch and dent area. They are known for their service. The staff is very helpful. They also do repairs. There are several locations around town. I visited the one on Tower Road. After going to Home Depot for a freezer I found the same one here and it was $20 cheaper. I got better service and I know I can count on them if something happens to it. Good appliance store. more
