what can I say. Dillards has awsome stuff. But I don't usually shop there.
Why? Well I don't like their unfriendly policies towards employees. I just got a call today from a friend who works there and she told me that she has been warned by management that the weekend of Easter there her department is expected to be buzy and they will NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE A LUNCH BREAK. What!!! This is not the 1st time this has happened, it happens all the time. The manager told her that there will be a pot luck and they will be allowed to go in a room and eat but they cannot clock out. Sounds like laws being broken here. And on Sundays when the store is open from 12-6 there are no breaks, at all. So for 6 1/2 hours these employees cannot have any food. they have to be there 15 minutes before 12 then 15 minutes (atleast) after 6. No wonder the service is always crappy, the employees are miserable.
Well you may be saying to yourself, well they chose to work there, so that is the empoyees fault.
Sure we can blame it on the employees. But this effects the service of the store. If Dillards were more empoyee friendly that most likely would reduce thefts, tardies, and increase work productivity, morale, sales, and customer service. The store's turnover is high, well of corse... The workers are grumpy, its nothing that you or I did, its just because they are hungry and not allowed to eat!
Enough said.
