I Love Liquid Joe's! I hang out there almost every weekend! Bands are the best I've seen in Utah, Drinks are cheap, The staff take great care of everyone! The only downside I can think of is that weekend nights tend to get a little crowded forcing me to start my party earlier!!! get there before 10 and your golden!!! See you there! more

I went to Liquid Joes last Thursday night, it was my first time attending Joes. They have great live music! The Metal Gods were awesome but to my surprise the band that outdid them was the Dope MC's! This band was phenomenal. They rocked the house! The whole place was a big dance party! If you haven't seen this band you have got to go check them out. They play every Thursday night. The service was also awesome. The drinks are cheap and the staff is great. I was even given free tickets to come back and see the show again. Liquid Joes is the best local music venue I have been to in Utah!!! more

I have always had a great time at Liquid Joes when I go see bands like Royal Bliss. I recently went in on a Saturday night to see The Spazmatics and was blown away! They are so entertaining and it is a dance party atmosphere! The drinks aren't overpriced and the bartenders are fast and nice! I love Liquid Joes!!! more

Recently I went to Liquid Joes to celebrate my friend's 21st birthday. Upon arrival I was harassed at the entrance for having bubbles in my purse. The bouncer allowed me in with my "bubbles" on account that I am a nanny and was going to give them to the kids I babysat the next morning. The evening started out with a beer and a mixed drink, everything fine, everyone having a good time. I decided to purchase a round of 7 lemon drops for my girlfriends in celebration of my friend. After taking the shot, all of us commented that something was wrong with the drink. I waved over a nearby bouncer to ask what I could do about this. He said this was his first night so he would call over our waitress. Our waitress came over and I mentioned to her that the drinks did not taste right, and trust me I have had my fair share of lemon drops around the valley. She asked me if I had already finished the drinks, well obviously I had or how would I have known that these drinks werent right? If my tab for those drinks wouldnt have been $70 it wouldnt have been a big deal. I then disregarded it and continued having fun. When she came over next I ordered a beer and another mixed drink which she happily served me. After I finished my drink a bouncer came over to me to draw a huge black x over my hand and escort me out. When I asked what I did wrong he replied your drunk. Last time I checked mostly everyone at that bar was drunk, isnt that what a bar is for? I continued to ask what I did wrong. I understand that if I was dancing and stumbling or falling down then I should be escorted out. I was sitting at a table with friends talking and out of nowhere I am being kicked out? I tried to find someone as I left to see what was up and they did nothing but remark rude comments and kick me out of the place for no good reason. I absolutely couldnt be paid a million dollars to go back to that dump. It is dirty, their bands are washed up old men who couldn't get a better gig. It has gone down hill in the last few years that I have been there. I strongly recommend that you save your cover charge and your money on their expensive drinks. Pros: none Cons: everything more

I have a few things to say about the owner/manager... Not only is she the biggest, most evil B*tch to her staff, but she is definately very rude to the customers. I have been going to Joe's for a very long time and have seen the way she treats people and it is disgusting.> Employees like their jobs, but hate having to work with someone who makes them so miserable. This has come from the horses mouth. The bouncers there like to push their weight around and bully people for no good reason other than getting drunk on a Thursday night. I have seen them physically shove, and beat in a customers face,if they aren't getting their point across to people. I witnessed one of them actually choke someone until they passed out. I watched the whole thing and the poor guy was just asking over and over "why are you doing this, what did i do wrong?" The bit*h owner sat there and said rude things the whole time to the customer, rather than putting a stop to her bouncer's abuse. She is an evil evil woman> just don't get on her bad side. Other than that, the music, and the bands there are great! It gets crowded in there, it seems to take 10 minutes to walk across the room. > have fun, be safe, stay out of b*tch's way, and don't get drunk on a thursday night. more

Everybody knows Liquid Joes is a great choice for a good time on the east side of Salt Lake. Soggy Bone have rocked the stage there a few times with proven positive results. The crowd goes off when these boys get on stage with their blend of hill-billy-rasta-rock. I recommend going out of your way to catch a Soggy Bone show here as the stage and sound are top notch! Now we just need to get Liquid Joes back to bringing in national acts instead of cover bands so the local talent can be seen by fans of touring bands. This place is a good "dive" bar to hang out with friends and enjoy some great music. Drinks are reasonable and it doesn't hurt that they have PBR on tap! Get there early on Thursday and Saturday, the tables go very fast. They don't have food, but let you order in. Check out Big Daddy Pizza, they deliver to the bar and the staff will bring it to you. $7 cover is a bit much, but any bar in UT is $5, so it isn't that bad. If you like sweet, fruity drinks try the AMF. Pros: PBR, great music, decent drink prices Cons: $7 cover, not many tables more

These guys managed to lose my drivers license while witting up my temporary membership. My license was in the care of the staff and it just disappeared. Now I have to worry about Identity theft just because the staff didn't care enough to do a basic job. Pros: The music is good and the beer is cheap Cons: unoragnized staff more

Liquid Joe's is very crowded, so go early! Thursday nights with Metal Gods is awesome and the members really get into it and rock! Saturday nights with The Spazmatics is great with a lot of popular 80's music that will get you dancing. The waitresses are attentive and friendly and always get your drinks to you right away. The bartenders work quickly to get your drinks and they always taste satisfying. I recommend Liquid Joe's if you're looking a place with a wide variety of people, great live music from talents bands, and friendly employees. Pros: The Hefeweizens are huge! I LOVE the bands that play at Liquid Joe's. I am xrazy about Metal God's and The Spazmatics. They rock! It was definitely a good time. The only bad thing that I can think of is that the cover is a little pricey, but drinks are reasonable! Pros: Music, Service Cons: Cover Price, Overly crowded more

Joe's used to be a great friend to the local music scene, but it seems like it has gone the way of the cover band. How much fun can hearing 80's covers every thurs. night be? I can't tell everyone enough how amazing Thursday nights are at Liquid Joe's! Danger Kitty is the best thing to come to SLC, and they couldn't have picked a better place to play!!! A fun time guaranteed to all who come to PARTY!!!! Pros: cheap cover, cheap beer, good times more

Don't show up before 10 or 11 pm. We showed up at 9:30pm and the band didn't start playing until 11pm. The place was pretty quite for a Friday night and the hour and a half wait for the band seemed to take forever. I wasn't impressed with this bar/club itself, but the music talent was good. If your going to hear good music, this is the place to go. I wouldn't recommend this place for a fun night out on the town however.
