I come to Downtown Buffalo just for Lincoln Coin and Stamp! 1/1/2012

I am a Canadian from Toronto. Whenever I am in the Buffalo area, I always make a stop in at Lincoln Coin and Stamp. Not only is Lou a really friendly guy but he'll also recommend excellent local restaurants to a stranger! Still using and cherishing the jewellers loop I bought from Lincoln Coin and Stamp the last time I visited! Highly recommend his awesome collection of just about everything in the cases! Originally came for the parking lot but keep comeing back for the amazing coin store next door! I'll keep coming back! more

Overall the best coin shop in Buffalo 10/16/2011

The owner - Lou Montesano - is a true gentleman and a rarity in today's (store front) coin business. Honest, fair, reliable. Although no coin shop can be perfect, in a general sense this is as good as Buffalo gets. Lincoln Coin can fulfill the needs of most average collectors and is a great place to pickup accessories or miscellaneous coin-related supplies. The coin selection is varied and changes regularly. Lou deals primarily in raw coins - both US and foreign - but specializes in no specific type or types. This may not appeal to the slab-minded collector, but does allow for ample picking opportunities. Again, the man is fair and does not try to squeeze every last cent out of his customers as most local shops do. For those looking to sell coins, his offers are both fair and inline with market conditions. Actually, I've found that they generally pay more than other Buffalo area shops. You will be given an honest opinion and in most cases offered a reasonable amount for your coins or metal. If you do not know the value of your coins, rest assured that taking advantage of people is not part of their business plan. Lincoln Coin is not a specialty dealer. Therefore with certain coins it may be wise to find a dealer (private or storefront) who is a specialist. Give Lou a call and ask. Even though located downtown, there is free and ample parking. The shop is easy to find and inner city traffic is rarely an issue. There are precious few coin shops like this left. It is a remnant of a bygone era that all collectors should experience. more

Best Service Anywhere - Completely Honest 6/1/2011

Lou is the real deal. Our family has worked with him for many years and he's never given us a bum deal, undervalued anything and always goes above and beyond to help out. I hope he lives forever because there are very few with his integrity. more

Fair and honest 1/30/2009

Super knowledgeable and very fair coin and stamp dealer. He gave me a fair price for my old coins. I couldn't be happier. Second generation business. Happy to support a local business! Pros: Lots of parking, friendly staff, neat items more
