Great soup and Sandwiches 12/19/2006

These are big and tasty sandwiches. They have regular specials that make lunch something to look forward to a couple days in advance. The Thanksgiving special is a yearly tradition. This is a must try. You won't be disappointed. Just expect it to be more pricey than ususal. Pros: Selection, sandwich size, quality Cons: price more

Best sandwich in town 8/25/2002

After Cucina's, this is the best lunching spot for sandwiches in town. Big, hearty, fresh. If you're not a big eater better to order a half because the full sandwich is bigger than Rhode Island! Only place that has it all--sprouts, pepperocinis, lettuce, fresh tomatos, low-fat mayo, high-fat mayo, mustard, dijon mustard, etc. etc. Speaking of which: Time to go eat! Pros: HUGE sandwiches!, lots of choices, fresh produce Cons: cramped during lunch more

Editorial
  • The Scene
It's tucked in a corner next to the Broadway Centre Cinema. At the entrance there are baskets filled with a small selection of fruits. There are one or two tables, but not a lot of room to sit and eat-- this place is based on takeout.

    The Food
Huge sandwiches made to order. Get them as basic or complicated as you want with choices like turkey breast, liverwurst, salami, ham, roast beef, sharp cheddar, Swiss, provolone, cranberry sauce, mustard, mayo, Miracle Whip, tomato, onion, pickle, sprouts and avocado. There are two specialty sandwiches--the kitchen sink sandwich (with three kinds of meat and several other toppings) and Italian hoagie. Prices range from $3.50 for a half sandwich to $6.50 for a specialty sandwich. Be advised that a half sandwich is about the size of a standard sandwich at other restaurants.
