this is probably the nicest shop you will ever walk into. The shop is beautiful, and the artists are not dickheads, which is also nice. I have work done by both Kurt and Sean, and I love them ! I get complemented on my tattoos all the time , and I am definitely going back for more. I think they are doing some of the best artwork in town, you get what you pay for ! more

back stabbers, over priced, and liars. 11/14/2011

i just got home from this shop and created an account just to explain my experience and myself. i called around 3:30 pm and asked how much their shop fee was. the girl had told me 80 bucks. then she asked me what i wanted and how big. i told her a deer on my arm and it wasnt very big because im trying to work on my sleeve. i told her it was anywhere between 3 - 4 inches. no bigger than that. i have money on my body so therefore when it comes to shop fees they pretty much always include how big the tattoo is, and how long it is going to take. if its more than an hour then its the shop fee per hour. its kinda obvious that if your shop fee is no bigger than a dime, then tell your customers that! I walk in, we talk about it, they see the tattoo, start to get ready. you would think they would have the common sense to tell me BEFORE they start setting up that it was going to be MORE than 80 bucks! i get done with my ink ( which took about 45 minutes) and go to pay and she told me that it was 200 BUCKS! i asked her why it was that price (angry, and confused) and she told me that it was bigger than the what the shop fee is, which btw, is honestly about the size of the end of your pinky. im not gonna cause a scene in a tattoo shop so i just paid her. a little tip of advice, if this shop DOES see this, i didnt tip him cause he got a 120 dollar tip in the end. and i ALWAYS tip amazing. im a server so i know how to tip. if you wanna run a business, then warn people before. i have to do that in my school when someone calls for a hair color. i warn then if its gonna cost more than what is priced already. just because you want your money, dont lie and backstab people just to get it. BASICALLY this company is unmoral and only care about theirselves and making moeny. they dont care about who they steal from. i will NEVER be back and i will NEVER say anything good about this place. i didnt even wanna give them one star. YES the tattoo does look good, but after what they did, i feel like puking when i see it. DO NOT GO! more

Happy Little Camper 8/3/2010

I got my best Japanese tattoo here. Sean was very cool to deal with and told some funny stories. I really enjoyed the 3 sessions it took to finish my half sleeve. I'll be back to start the other side this fall I'm sure. These things really are addicting. Pros: Good atmosphere, and cool music Cons: Now I'm addicted more

great studio 7/11/2010

first tattoo studio to get work done in the twin cities. john henry did my piece. great guy, great attitude, laid back and beautiful work. the staff is great to chat with and they don't have inflated egos. ill be back fo sho Pros: chill, great soundtrack, decent prices, Cons: no bar on location more

An awesome experience, plain and simple. 6/28/2010

I really have only positive things to say about Leviticus. I had my heart set on a specific design in a location that isn't especially tattoo-friendly, and had taken it to 2 other shops previously, neither of whom would give me exactly what I wanted. When I brought the design to Leviticus, everyone there was nice and receptive to my idea, which was a relief in itself. When I came back to actually get the tattoo, my artist Kurt was amazing...he used the exact design I brought in and put it exactly where I wanted it, and it is gorgeous. I also thought the price was entirely fair - you get what you pay for, and I got something beautiful.\r \r I really couldn't be happier, and I'll definitely be going back. Thanks, Kurt! Thanks, Leviticus! Pros: Talented, friendly, open-minded more

way overpriced. Totally got screwed. 3/12/2010

shopping around first is never a bad idea, i just wished i would have reminded myself of that! went to other tattoo shops afterwords and i was told what i should've paid...... i'm a sucker!!! Pros: it was open Cons: way overpriced.i obviously had sucker written on my forehead more

The rumors are true! 10/6/2009

This is one awesome tattoo shop. It's night and day different then the last couple shops I've went to. It's almost more like an art gallery or something. They've got Japanese Koy fish swimming around and lots too look at. The artists I worked with were great. I got an amazing portrait from Megan and went back next week and got another one from John Henry. I had to wait for a little bit which was kind of nerve racking but it was so worth it! : ) Pros: Talented artists, relaxed atmosphere, good music. Cons: Can be busy more

Checked it out, decided not to go here. 5/7/2009

Check out the place while thinking about a tattoo I want. The tattoo area is entirely open. A private tattoo consists of a curtain being wheeled out into a open area. Very loud, claustrophobic. Felt rushed to make a decision. Pros: Nice fish Cons: No privacy, tiny, loud, inpersonal more

Best Damn Tattoo Parlor 7/26/2008

I had a friend come down from Brainerd and randomly we decided to get tattoos in memorial of my husband. Saturday is THE day. We walked right in and had Aleks and Kurt willing to help us right away. The pricing was AMAZINGLY reasonable, the guys were hella friendly, and the tattoos were superb. My friend got custom designed dog tags and I had simple black lettering.\r \r I ended up paying a third less than what other places quoted me at AND both tattoos were done fairly fast without sacrificing quality.\r \r This place is very much like the tattoo shop I used to go to in Clarksville, TN. I WILL be back. Pros: Fishes!, Parking, Personality, Ambience, Talent, Easy Going, PRICING Cons: Nothing... Seriously. more

best tattoo shop atmosphere 10/19/2006

Leviticus is unlike any other shop out there. Not your typical scary and intimidating environment. It is decorated with great art for sale and they have a giant coy pond. The artists are very talented and will custom make your tat for you!! more

Six tats and counting 10/3/2006

All my tattoos (6 of them) are all from Zack. They are amazing. His abilities and creativity make his work amazing! I now live in Charlotte NC, and I will pay the airfare to go back to the Twin Cities just so Zack can ink me again. The shop is amazing and you can't beat the fish! Everyone there is very friendly and easy to talk to. Pros: Store looks AWSOME and very clean more

Two thumbs way up!! 9/15/2002

Kurt Melancon did the first tattoo I got there about a year ago, it's awesome. (Japanese dragon). Zach Kinsey did the second (old school piece) it rules too! Those guys do great work and care about cleanliness stuff. I guess what I'm saying is that you should go there for sure, and that Leviticus is ""the Shiticus""! Pros: Clean, Friendly, Great work Cons: Usually booked more
