Laurel Caverns

I have been to Laurel Caverns many times and everytime its just as intersting. Actually going on a tour i sjust as much fun as exploring on your own. The tour takes you on a path walkway throughout some of the caves. They have a light show near the end of the tour and a very cool demonstration with gravity and physics :). The tour guides are always well informed and know what they are talking about. Try playing minigolf in the cave too :) more

Great tour of the caverns, many stories go along with the tour, many very interesting. The trip is cool and well lit and an quite an adventure going through "fat man misery" trail. Underground water spots make it even more interesting. Only con is that during holidays, the place can be extremely crowded. Good place to visit. Well worth it. more

Laurel Caverns offers the largest cave in Pennsylvania for exploration. Guided 3 hour tours are available which take you the approximately 500 m down to the cave bottom and back up again over sandstone rocks. The tour will have you literally climbing and crawling over rocks so it is better suited to people in reasonable athletic shape who don't mind getting really really dirty. In the summer, the bats are gone so the cave is free of wildlife (and insects, which is a bonus). The less athletically inclined can explore the top part of the caves and watch a light show or play mini-golf inside the cavern. There are showers (coin-operated) and picnic areas on the premises for making a day of it and to spare your car the caked on mud and dirt. more
