Lakewood Lube and Auto Repair

We've been going here for several years. Took the SUV in to get the oil changed, the car came out sounding and driving bad. In short, was told by Lakewood we needed to have the cam fazier fixed, which is $2200.00 or possibly buy a new motor, which is over $3000.00 ! Took the vehicle to another shop and found out you and your mechanic were lying. It was only the spark plug #3, coil pack and clip to the coil pack, which was broke. You were suppose to change the #3 spark plug and never did. Come to find out, it only cost me $100 to fix my SUV NOT $2200.00. Now my vehicle runs perfect. It's so sad that a company like yours, robs from customers who put their trust into people like you. We will never come back nor recommend your business to anyone. more

I had called several days ahead of time to make an appointment for my car, but it seemed that my visit had not been scheduled for that day. That caused me to wait longer than anticipated. I had not planned for that. more

Lakewood Lube and Repair has been changing the oil in my 2012 Civic for two years now. The make it easy and have always been able to get me right in without an appointment. They don't try to unnecessarily up-sell and are thorough in their worths email reminders when it is time to come in for another oil change are also appreciated. more

Took my car in for an oil leak. They replaced the oil pan gasket and the valve cover gasket, but I still had oil dripping. I had to take it back in, but they discovered it was oil still on the frame from the real leak and they took it to a car wash and power cleaned the engine and frame and finally no leak. more

I was first introduced to lakewood lube and auto when I had to have the interlock installed in my trailblazer. Since then I've had all the work on the Trailblazer completed at this location. They do a good job at a fair price. more

I had terrible service at Lakewood Lube & Repair, with nothing but frustration when attempting to get my car looked at. I have no idea if the reviews regarding honesty are true or not because I attempted for over 3.5 weeks to get my car repaired and I couldn't even get it looked at - with appointments! \r \r I went in three times (two of those times with appointments) and was told they didn't have time to even look (or finish looking at - since they started and didn't finish looking because they looked at another car) at my car each attempt. I was told each time that I had to come back (the second time after waiting 5 hours after my appointment time) another time. Each time I had taken off of work and drove 45 minutes to get there because I had an appointment. Also, I was promised the courtesy car after the second time they blew me off ... which was an empty promise as they forgot. I pointed out that they had it written down and they said they'd call to get it back right away and call me to schedule an appointment (you know, bring my car in a FOURTH time) as soon as possible.\r \r Cut to a week and a half later - no contact from them at all. In the mean time I have taken my car into another repair shop, had it diagnosed, repaired, and have it back in my possession for a reasonable price all within a day and a half (and they kept their appointment with me and even had it done early! And they worked with me when I couldn't get back from work when I couldn't get there within their open hours because of my work schedule). \r \r I am so frustrated with Lakewood Lube & Repair, and people should know they cannot count on them when it comes to taking care of them or their cars and they don't even care. Terrible service. Very disappointing. more

I walked in to this shop only to stand there for 10 minutes before their receptionist even acknowleged that I was there and then they was rude to me. more

I walked in thinking this small business would have been welcoming, inexpensive, and have quick service. To the contrary, I paid $40 for a basic oil change, was treated as an inferior and waited nearly an hour when I was the only customer in the store. I waited nearly 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge that I was in their shop. Don't let their thank-you cards on the walls fool you, this place is nothing to brag about. more
