Kindred Hospital Spring

Dr. Moldavan, the nurses and aids made my stay at kindred spring at 10+. Nurses Janet and Patricia and nurses aid Sherika were my favorites. They were dollbabys and went out of their way to be helpful. They would help me find things in my purse, help me make phone calls, and help me with anything else I needed like opening things which I have difficulty with due to my arthritis. Dr. Moldovan has such a kind way about him. I really enjoyed having him as my physician.The quality of the nursing care and friendliness of the staff is second to none. This is not my first time at a Kindred Hospital. It has been a good experience being a patient at Kindred Spring. The nurses do a good job of giving medications on time and bringing pain meds promptly when they are needed. The food has been pretty good as well. Everyone in therapy is so nice and encouraging. They push you in the best way to help you do as much as you can without forcing you to do it. They make you laugh and make you enjoy your time while you are working out. I love Kindred!! I came to kindred spring for treatment of cellulitis in my legs. The infection is now gone and I am going home. The nurses and doctors were all real attentive. The nurses always came within 10 minutes when I pressed my call light.I like Dr. Moldovan a lot. He really listens. The food was good too. If I needed to come back to the hospital for any reason I would definitely come back to kindred Spring. more

Staff is very professional. They checked on my dad often, every 10 to 15 minutes and kept him dry and comfortable. Our favorite nurses and aides were Heather, Patricia, Moonie, Karen and Sherika. Dr. Chun came by every day to check up on my dad. He is very caring. Letty at the front desk is very professional. The nursing supervisors Jackie and Renee answered any questions that I had. Security officer Correz does a good job keeping the place patrolled and safe. The Therapy team was great especially Q. My father was very stiff when he came in but now he can bend his legs, arms, neck, head and fingers better than in years. The food was good as well. They really did an excellent job. Juan more

From the first day I arrived at Kindred Spring Hospital I felt comfortable and at home! Everyone was very kind and welcoming. Even though most of the patients here are unable to move around like I am the staff never made me feel less important. It takes a special kind of person to come here daily and care for many of these patients. I know from working in healthcare for the last 40 years! God and love shines through here at Kindred Spring! When my husband and I were told that he was going to be transferred to an LTACH facility from the acute hospital where we were at, I had concerns. We had never even heard of an LTACH before so we had our doubts about the care he would receive and were unsure if it would be adequate. Boy was I wrong. Everything he has needed from the moment he stepped in the door has been provided quickly. Linen changes, showers, medications are all are given like clockwork. Therapy has been wonderful. Ken, Alvin and Winnie in therapy are all excellent. Wound care has been fantastic as well. Everything offered here that he has received has been top notch. The people who work here actually care. Other places we have been to treat you like just another bed or number but not here. The staff here acts like they cannot do enough to make you comfortable and provide excellent care for their patients. Some of our favorite people here have been PCA’S Sherika, Jay and Maria. They are knowledgeable, quick to respond, uplifting and nice. We also really like RN Lisa. She has a great sense of humor and is a person you just enjoy being around. She really treats you like a person and not just a patient. RN Uchita is very sweet and extremely timely with medications. We are just so pleased with Kindred Spring. We have been in and out of hospitals for over 10 years and nothing compares to this hospital. If you have to go somewhere that offers these services, this is the place to come. Keiser more

This hospital has a wonderful group of people. I am more than happy with all of the staff that work here. They are attentive when I call for anything are always kind. Nurse Uchita is one of the best. The quality of care is unbeatable. The quality of the rooms is excellent as well. They are always clean and well-kept. I would absolutely recommend this hospital. Schilhab more

I think Kindred Spring does a great job. My mom has been there multiple times and we have always been pleased. Carol the case manager did a great job keeping me up-to-date with everything during my mothers stay. The food has been really good when I have had it. Probably since the cafeteria is Lubys. When I first got to Kindred Spring I was not that comfortable but after I got there and talked to the supervisor Yvonne My anxieties were eased. They held to their promise to give me a bath every day and got me the right cream to deal with my itching problem. Nurses Lillian and Marquise were knowledgeable and were right on everything I needed and very skilled at helping me get in and out of the bed. The girl that brings my food Alexus is a sweet sweet child. The food was excellent. They can really cook some carrots potatoes and tacos. I was really impressed with the food. The rehab program was so excellent I chose to come back for my outpatient rehab after I go home today. See, Kindred took good care of me seven years ago when I got into a bad accident. Doctors said I wouldn’t walk for over a year and Kindred got me walking in three weeks and two days. That’s why I chose to come to Kindred again and I don’t regret it. I knew I wouldn’t have to worry about a dog gone thing and I was right. They really take good care of you at kindred Spring. Porter more

I like the therapy. I like that I get out of my room and get some exercise. Everyone in the therapy department is nice especially Alvin who I normally work with. So far my stay at Kindred spring has been good. I like the food and wish I could even get seconds most of the time. The nurses and cnas who have worked with me have all been nice. I am getting ready to discharge from Kindred Spring. There have been a couple of bumps in the road when I transferred over initially but everything was worked out quickly and was more of a lack of communication between hospitals than anything else. Once I got here they have continued to be very accommodating. The services have all been good. HBO treatments have helped my wound healing along and they have been diligent with wound VAC treatments to speed progress. They wound care team has been excellent. PT and OT have been good. They kept me strong. My expectations for hospital food were actually surpassed and I cleared my plate every meal. The nursing care was good and any minor issues were communicated and resolved promptly. I would recommend Kindred Spring especially for wound care or physical rehab. I witnessed treatments with their new exoskeleton program equipment and was quite impressed. People recovering from stroke would greatly benefit from that program. have already recommended this hospital to my friends. Tony more

My experience at Kindred Spring has been OK. I like the therapy. They listened to my goals and are helping me reach them. The food in my opinion has been excellent at times and other times just good. My wound they have been addressing looks much better and is almost gone. I like the new beds they have gotten since I’ve been here. They are very high-tech. My impression of Kindred Spring has been good. I have been here a couple of weeks so far and I hope to be going back home soon. I’ve been getting IV antibiotics and therapy. I have been improving in therapy by leaps and bounds. My lung capacity has improved so much since I have been here. The staff have been great. Very nice people overall. The food has been really tasty as well and the portion sizes are good. I think I have gained a few pounds since I have been here which I needed to do. I am getting a lot more sleep here than at the hospital I was at previously. They seem to be more mindful that I need my rest. I also like that I have a big window in my room from which I can see a park area and small road. I would recommend Kindred Spring. I have had a good experience here. Sam more

Everyone is really nice and everything is going well since I have been a patient at Kindred spring. This is my second time being hospitalized here. The rehab challenges me and they work at my pace so when I get tired I just take a break and start again. I have been to other hospitals in this area and Kindred spring has given me the best patient experience of them all. I chose to come here again because I knew I would be well taken care of and I would use it again if I needed to be in the hospital. Bear more

I have been to Ben Taub, I have been to LBJ. I have been to other hospitals and after the first couple of days at Kindred Spring I said wow, am I at the Palm Springs resort or something? This place is so nice. I had the time of my life for someone who just had their toe cut off. The professionalism and personal attention of the staff is impeccable. Anybody and everybody who I ask anything of does so with a smile. They won’t care team has been amazing. I could not have asked for a better hospital to recover in. Parker more

The food is very good. The help is very good. Everyone is kind and caring at Kindred Spring. Insurance tried to make me switch to another facility and I appealed because I have been so pleased. It is scary being in a bed helpless and needing everything done for you so it has been wonderful having people around to help me with whatever I need. I am more than pleased with kindred spring more

Everyone here has been very good. It has been a rare occasion when I have had to wait an excessive amount of time for someone to come when I have put on my call light. The staff has been very helpful. The charge nurse Karen and nurses Mabel and Ally were so excellent. They always came to check on me frequently. I felt very secure and even being all the way at the end of the hall because they made sure I was always taken care of. All in all it has really been a very good experience. Barbara more
