Excellent meal and excellent service. Atmosphere is the best. I dont know what these other reviews are saying. I have eaten at the Kimberton Inn several times over the past 10 years and have never been dissapointed, I moved away from the area and now have moved back and it is still the best restaurant in the area. more

If you like climbing stairs, eating in a hot loft, so so little portioned overpriced meals, service......well i refer to the steps, cooks that don't know meat temps and guys dressed as women eating at the table next to you.......Well then, hey........ This place is for you!!!! This place should be a strip club; at least then I would walk in knowing I was about to be Fu**ed for my money!!! more

Awesome Wedding Reception 6/5/2011

We recently had our daughters wedding reception at Kimberton Inn. Jeff, Jason and staff did an amazing job. They worked with us on all the details that we wanted to incorporate to make it a very special day. Both our daughter and myself tend to be perfectionists and everyone at KI did not fail to deliver. The food and service were top notch. The hors devours were fabulous and the fact that each guest could choose their entree at the reception was a big hit. The servers were amazing at making sure every guest was taken care off. Everyone of our guests said that it was either the best reception they had been to in a ling time or the best reception they had ever been to. If you are considering having an event there I don't think you will disappointed! more

Appalling - Spend your money elsewhere! 11/11/2010

I visited the Kimberton Inn as a possible wedding venue. When I arrived with my best friend who is also my MoH, a man whom I assume is Jeff Effgen asked us to sit on a bench behind him as he was finishing with another bride. I assume this was his name after looking it up online because after he was done with them, he turned to me, said: ""You must be Kelly"" and never shook my hand or introduced himself. After that, he looked at my MoH, who is a month older than I, and made an insulting remark about her age, guessing her to be my future mother-in-law. Within three minutes of walking into the establishment, he set a very uncomfortable tone for the visit. more

Horrible service and food for the price - better at a diner 11/17/2008

I just want to express my feelings after having dinner at your inn last night. We have eaten there before and if I remember was very good. We had 8:00 reservations and we did not get seated until 8:40. We sat at the bar and did not get waited on for 10 minutes. We finally sat down and when we were ready to order, you were out of the special that two of us were going to get. We were not offered bread or anything ? we had to ask for it. When our meals came back, one person in our group had to send it back twice ? she asked for medium and both times it came back rare. So the third time, the piece of meat had been tortured and barely could eat it. You offered her a free drink ? hello?. After we paid the bill, your waitress came back and asked if we wanted a free dessert ? no thank you ?we just wanted to get out of there. And to think we picked your restaurant instead of Seven Stars to celebrate two anniversa ries. Pros: Nice tables and seating Cons: Table 45 minutes late, had to send dinner back twice and then it was uneatable more

Wonderful 200 year old Inn Hidden away in Chester County 10/24/2006

Get in the car and start driving, when you get to Kimberton (just the other side of Phoenixville) you have arrived. 200 year old Inn that charms you with every aspect of your visit. Excellent food prepared and presented with great attention to detail. Very extensive wine cellar that is the pride and joy of the owner. All of their servers seem to be quite well versed on the wines as well. For a really great treat and value make a reservation for their Sunday Brunch, at $22.95per person it is an unexcelled value with off menu selections not some belly up to the bar buffet. They also have very nice facilities for groups. Romantic, Authentic, Charming. Kimberton Inn has it all. Also in the winter several fireplaces throughout the dining area are lit which makes for an even nicer ambiance. You will be very happy you made the effort to seek out this Gem!!!
