Not one to usually review a restaurant, but we thought it necessary to point out the exceptional service we had during our first vist to Joseph's. Not only did the staff do an amazing job taking care of us, but Rick & Cathy handled a full restaurant like champs, no thanks to Joseph.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience but thought the food was just good, nothing too spectacular. What we found to be most unimpressive & might keep us from going back is the arrogance of the owner. One would think that with the economy the way it is a local business owner would be more customer-oriented and appreciative of those spending money in his restaurant, not to mention helping his staff out when they are busy. This review might have gone differently if we weren't so turned off by how Joseph had NO INTERACTION with guests and waiters----he just stood in front of a few tables and cooked. No talking to them or getting them drinks and no helping the waiters take care of his restaurant. Just a lot of pointing and commanding of orders to them.
He did though use his cell phone a few times, smoke-out the restaurant as he burned a table-side steak, and he did not fill water glasses at a table he stood in front of for 5 minutes.
I give the staff 5 stars, the food 3 stars, and Joseph 1 star.
