You know how there are just some people you naturally relax around? Well that's Jennifer Brinn. You can't help but to just let go of all your stress -and that's before the massage starts! Whatever you thought was so important only moments ago - suddenly just melt away. It all starts from the moment she opens the door, your senses immediately become reoriented from the stress and the hustle of the city to one of encouraging letting go. She does this by bringing you some tea, having you sit for a moment in the space with wafts of aromatherapy still lingering in the air. All of this forethought into the atmosphere is done with careful consideration to the needs of each person and where they are that day - what they are needing in that moment.
And if warm tea, aromatherapy and soft music isn't really your thing - there's no denying that the massage will win you over. I've been receiving massage from Jennifer for almost 2 years since my spinal surgery - and at every step of the way, as my massage needs change - she's been able to tune into what i need and really deliver results... often without me ever saying a word. She just knows the body- how to read and feel the lines of tension, patterns of holding, without ever needing to mash the muscle tissue. As a matter of fact - I always thought to effectively get good leg work done on the lower torso that some pain just came with the territory - until she worked with the tight muscles in such a way that didn't cause pain - but they did feel more relaxed.
Overall, what makes Jennifer's work unique is her ability and committment to being fully present on behalf of the client. I've received a lot of bodywork over the years, and I believe that what makes one bodyworker more effective than another - is the ability to tune out the noise of the world and tune into the person on the table. Jennifer does this time and again with remarkable grace, fluidity, and a deeply grounded, peaceful presence.
