The best wedding images I've ever seen! 12/11/2009

I found Jade Studio Production in a Bridal magazine as well as a few other photographers but I signed with Philippe because once I met him in his 4th St office, I was so impressed with his work from the sample albums. I've never seen anything like them before - very unique. He also shared his background of having studied in Paris - I knew he was a man of good taste with his creative artistic background! Philippe was so personable and so nice, I took a liking to him immediately. My family came with me and they also very impressed with Philippe's manners. He played some videos for my parents to show his work and allowed us to go through all the albums. He was so easy to talk to, very nice and charming. After viewing the first album, I was sold!\r \r Philippe kept in close contact with me throughout the whole process. The tentative date of the engagement photo shoot didn't work out due to rain. It was about 2 weeks away and I checked the weather forecast daily and it kept fluctuating. I panicked! I was so stressed having to coordinate and change the dates of the shoot, hair appointment, make-up. I changed the dates 3x but Philippe was so accommodating and never seemed like he was bothered by all these changes. We finally settled on a date and we met Philippe and his wife Soojin in SF where they led us to their Treasure Island Studio. They gave us a tour and my fiance and I were very impressed with the stuido sets. We first started out in our Korean tradtional outfits and Philippe and his wife led us through the process directing us what to do, how to smile, where to look, etc. - we were shy. It felt like I was a supermodel posing for a magazine with all the lights and professional cameras, etc. Then we changed into bridal gown/tux and took some studio shots as well as outdoors. They took us to Crissy Field for shots with the Golden Gate Bridge. I noticed a panoramic shot of the Golden Gate bridge in one of the sample albums with the bride and groom - it was spectacular and had to have that same shot! Although it wasn't raining and the sun was out, it was VERY cold that day. In between shots, Soojin kept putting my jacket on me and Philippe offered me his scarf because they didn't me to get sick on my wedding day (so nice). They took way more photos than I expected just to ensure great images which I appreciated. I knew they were cold themselves and probably wanted to go home, but they went beyond the norm. At one point we were so cold that they suggested we go into this little cafe for tea to warm us up. They ended up taking more photos of us inside that cafe which turned out great! So unexpected but wondeful. Soojin took many shots of me with my veil where we played around with it a little, placing it in front of my face, over my head, etc - gave it that soft, romantic, blurry look. I simply loved it! They were so creative! I've been through a few other wedding photo sessions for family members and friends and never experienced anything this creative - this was truly art, not photos. The other photographers had the normal shots stuck in albums. Jade Studio Productions albums are so unique where the images are actually the album pages (front & back). You have to see them for yourself!!! \r \r Philippe is so efficient, he posted the images in a couple of days when he said it would probably take a week or so. The next step for me to work with the Creative Director, Kirk to discuss the album creation. I am so excited! I can't wait to see the final product.\r \r I had to post this review for the gratitude I feel for all that Philippe and Soojin has done for me and my fiance. They are top-notch and you will definitely get what you pay for - it's worth every penny!!!! They are a wonderful couple and professional team, I will definitely use their services again in the near future! \r Pros: The best service - you get what you pay for and much more! more

Jade Studio went extra miles for us 10/27/2008

Soojin & her team were photographers & videographers for our wedding on October 4, 2008 at beautiful Crown Room on The Fairmont San Francisco. For my wedding, my vision for the photography style is a blending of fashion & fine art photography that creates a dramatic effect in a magazine style photo album. Before my wedding, my husband & I met several photographers to find one that can achieve my vision. Some of those photographers are award winning photographers. From the image point of view, two of the vendors that we visited were stronger than Jade. But when it comes to the digital retouch of the images, they are nothing compared to Jade. Those vendors, either they just start to retouch or they don?t retouch the images to the next level. When I visited & reviewed Jade Studio?s portfolio, the portfolio speaks for itself. The images are artistic & well composed. Some of the angle of the images were so unique that it captures the emotion & can tell a story. I also feel that they don?t need that much instruction to achieve my vision. Their style is already aligned with it & they know at what they?re doing. Since Jade can fulfill all of my requirements, I pick Jade Studio. On the wedding day, the way Soojin & her team conducted themselves showed professionalism: from their manner to the way they dress (dress in black). Fyi, they?re all good looking. Soojin & the team came on time & they didn?t leave until we told them to, as our request. During all of our photo session, both my husband & I were happy doing all the poses. We were having fun & laughed a lot. Soojin & her team made us feel very comfortable. In the end, we really admired & enjoyed their creativity. All of our bridal party was amazed at Soojin & her team?s effort to get good pictures for us. All of us agreed that Soojin & her team went extra miles for us. I?m looking forward to see the album. I have high expectations for them. Even though Jade fee is expensive, I still highly recommend Jade to you. more

An amazing company that customizes everything!! This team is made of incredibly talented people: photographers, videographers, graphic designers, bookbinders and make up artists. The company is run by Philippe, a good looking Asian guy (Hey, worth a visit just for that reason!!) with a French accent?? He is by far the best photographer and his images are so unique. Anyway check out their amazing studio. I have never seen a place like this: cool interior, state of the art equipment and the most incredible books!!
