DO NOT LIVE HERE. unless you want to be treated rudely and overcharged. They pulled our apartment out from underneath us while we were applying, we wanted a certain one that was available had to leave to get a different payment method for the application because they do not accept american express, and then 20 minutes later we came back and they had sold it. The manager would not speak to us or apologize. more

Don't do it! 2/7/2011

It's not hard to add to the bad things already written and that in itself is reason not to move in or rent an apartment from Independence Green. Although I loved the grounds, the apartment wasn't quality and maintenance had a hard time doing their job. Management was beyond rude. I had sewer from the upstairs apartment backing up in my bathroom that flooded three rooms. Then they sent in teenage boys to spray the carpet with enzymes and blow dry the feces infected carpet. They sent in an old maintenance man with dirty t-shirts to clean up the feces in my bathroom. When I asked them to reimburse me for shoes that were ruined and for wages lost when I stayed home to clean up the mess, they had a lawyer call me and tell me that "it was a city issue" and not Indpendance Green. Then when I moved out they charged me to replace the carpet! Horrible Experience 4/23/2010

They had shown us an apartment when we went, that we like. After we had singed and it was time to move in, they gave us an apartment all the away at the deadend, totally different than what they had shown us. Maintenance had to come out like 5 times in my 6 months stay. Managment is so rude, I had to call corporate to have my issues resolved. Also, out of my $300 deposit, they are charging me for a broken blind, and a stain on the carpet that was their in the beginning. They waited till we left to let us know, even though they were out there for an inspection prior to moving. The washer and dryer are useless, anytime we bought something new, the washer and dryer ruined the closeth because they were old and inefficient. Electrical bill is too high, because of ineffecient appliances. I was paying $70 a month for a light bulb and stove, wahser and dryer. That's all I had. Horrible, horrible, horrible. DO NOT RENT THERE AT ALL COST 3/17/2010

I have lived Here for 2 years. It is a beautiful setting outside and that is about it. one review on here said good price for the sqaure footage and that is wrong. i found apartments for 200 dollars cheaper for 2 bedrooms over my 1 bedroom here with more sq footage. Maintenance is ok. they paint over there bathroom doors, toliet seats. Had a leak in ceiling by the sliding glass door and took them 3 weeks to fix it. They stated it was coming from upstairs window. no paint looks diffrent color over there. Im on 1st floor and can hear people upstairs like there right next to me. Do not rent from this place. Was late on rent and they sent me thing to call lawyer, called lawyer and then called them cause they returned my rent money saying to many checks when i do not right checks but pay online bounced and they got upset when I told them what the lawyer told us. They said we threatened them because we called a lawyer. more

very poor maintenance department 10/16/2009

This apartment has some good facilities, but heater does not work. After repeated complaints to the maintenance dept, they came. However, after three days it stopped working. Again called, they told that they won't come until it becomes unbearable. Maintenance dept is very rude. They disconnect the phone during conversation. I am really disappointed. Now, I have to wait until my apartment becomes tooooooo cold to call them. I will not recommend anyone to this apartment. zero 'star'.? I cannt believe that a place that is ran like this can still be open! I will be reporting Independence Green to the Better Buissnes Bureau. The way that they treat people is absoulutly crazy. They have no respect whatsoever. I will never never recommend this place to anyone, and I will go out of my way to tell other people how disgusting, rude, unprofessional, illiterate, and how unwilling they are to help you or even accommodate you. Do Not Rent From Independence Green!!! No one in the office and even manegement knows what is going on. I have no idea how anyone in the office has a job. HORRIBLE Pros: When your lease is UP!!! This the most ridiculous place that I have ever lived. Not one single person in the office knows what they are doing. EVERYTHING that they say is a lie. All they do is scam you and and rip you off. The apartments are so disgusting, if you are looking for something clean this is NOT THE RIGHT PLACE. You would think that they would want to keep you happy so that you will continue to rent from them, but NO, it seems like they don't want anyone there by the way you are treated. Best to avoid this place 12/15/2008

I must agree with the ratings here. After living there 2 years, I cannot recommend this apartment due to thin walls, noisy neighbors and worst of all the leasing management. I was overcharged a month's rent and they refused to reimburse me even after complaining to the parent company Aimco. So beware when working with this lot. Avoid it at all cost 11/22/2008

AVOID AVOID AVOID ! They will bill u at every possible juncture. Give 60 day advance and they'll put miscellaneous damages to apartment. Do not give 60 day ""written notice"" about vacating and you'll pay for it anyways. I work 7 days a week, i dont read through my credit card + auto insurance + home rental agreement. Whatever happened to treating your customers well ... Pros: lower rent. Cons: Cheap as hell place with inhuman management. more

Do not rent from this complex!!!!!!!!!! 7/1/2008

This is by far the worst and most disgusting property or complex that I have ever lived in! I signed a 6 month lease and was lied to about everything. Was told that I was getting a completely renovated unit, it was far from that. The shower leaked in the master, the main bathroom leaked from the up stairs unit and dry wall was falling, the kitchen tile had to be replaced due to so many tears in it and the carpeting was far from new it was not even cleaned when we moved in. We were told that we would have a patio, well guess what; when the snow melted there was just mud and grass no patio was found, the closest thing to a patio was a side walk that was about 10 feet away from my patio door. There was a multitude of problems including the response that we got from the mgmnt staff, they were less than accommodation or caring. I was actually dismissed from the ""Relations Managers"" office one day when trying to speak with him about my apartment. My recommendations for anyone looking for an apartment home is to look elsewhere this is not a place you want to live. I am so embarrased about the place and the condition of the property that I have not and will not invite friends or family to my place. The only thing I am looking forward to at this point is moving out in August.. Please take my advice and do not move into this complex. more

Don't Rent Here 6/13/2008

BED B*GS!!!! Don't rent here!! These apartments have bed b*gs!!! The company does attempt to get rid of the critters, but after a month and a half they are still not gone and Eradico claims ""there is no activity"" yet somehow all the people in the building are still getting bites...strange! I would not rent here for many reasons, including the fact that the management is not great. Everything has an extra fee, everything takes forever to get done! The management here is TERRIBLE. They are definitely NOT tenant friendly, and you will have to jump through hurdles if you need anything above the normal maintenance issues. It's cheap for a reason - you get what you pay for! We were told a certain dollar amount would be charged to our credit card for our 1st month's rent, but we were charged a different amount - more, of course. When we brought this to their attention - they wouldn't refund us the difference. They said we were wrong, and it was our word against the sales rep. We even had the form the rep gave us, but to no avail. The sales rep also told us we were entitled to 1 month's free rent for signing a 1-year lease. The only stipulation was that it could not be the month you move in. When we went to use it the next month, the office said we couldn't use it that month either. I have heard others state that if you are late with rent - the office will not accept it, and you will have to pay the following month's rent in advance as well, before they will take it. Seems illegal - but whatever. I would not reccomend this place to a DOG and I cannot wait to get out! They spend more time and effort trying to get new people in, as opposed to trying to keep their existing tenants. They do not acknowledge the ""Human Side"" of tenants. You are a number and that is it. They can care less about the individuals who live in their community. There is a constant stream of people leaving - and of those leaving, I am envious! . Pros: Location - right by the freeway! Cons: The management team is TERRIBLE! more

Horrible management 10/10/2006

I have lived here for 10 months now and can't wait to get out of here. I've had several problems since being here. This spring the pipes burst in the wall in my kitchen due to a leak from the 6 people who share an apartment above me (yes, literally 6 people in a 2 BR apt). The week long repair was partially covered by my insurance company since they thought it would be a good idea to kick me out of the temp apartment the day that they painted. You couldn't even breathe in there, so I had to spend the night in the hotel, which they refused to pay for, stating that they had not inconvenienced me. Not to mention that they unplugged and moved my fridge to the middle of the kitchen for 4 days. All of my food spoiled. Pros: It's a roof over your head Cons: That roof leaks more

I lived at Independence Green from the time I was a child until I turned 18 and graduated from High School. In fact, my Father still lives there. These apartments are nothing like they used to be. The interior of the apartments are very outdated. foThe golf course is a joke. Divots ALL over the place, greens that have dead patches, golfer drive their carts onto the greens. No rules that are enforced on the course. It used to be that residents played free of charge and the course was absolutely beautiful. They do not turn the heater on in the pool. problem in your apartment: takes forever to fix it and then done half-assed. I have actually gone into the clubhouse/office to speak with someone and felt like I was bothering them. Would not recommend this place anymore and it is very sad. I used to love it there.
