Last year a stray cat I had been feeding had hurt his paw. Hurstbourne Animal Hospital was the only animal hospital I could find that was open on a Sunday, so we took the stray cat there. The vet seemed nice enough, and said she would help us find a home for the cat. Of course, we had to pay a lot of money to get the cat fixed up so another person would adopt him. We paid for tests, shots, grooming, and neutering. The cost was about $300, which I did not mind paying, if a good home could be found for the cat. We agreed to bring food and litter to the hospital for this stray cat, and they would keep the cat and try to find a home for him. They agreed to contact us before the cat was adopted, and said we could even interview the people who wanted to adopt the cat. They said nothing would be done without contacting us first.
