My husband and I stumbled upon this place by accident, but I am glad it happened! I had really been craving a good brisket, and Howard's hit the spot! You get very large portions of meat. The side items, like potato salad and cole slaw, are great - and I don't know about you, btu it seems virtually impossible to find a decent cole slaw at a restaurant nowdays. They also have excellent bread!
As far as appetizers go, the hubby and I have tried the jalapeno poppers and they are excellent. We also had the bread pudding for dessert - that was the only thing I didn't care much for. The rest of the food is *excellent*, though.
The only drawback is the service... while friendly, it is sometimes rather slow - particularly to get waited on at first, and to get drink refills. Even taking that into consideration, though, I still have to give this place 4 stars... I haven't been able to find better BBQ in the area!
