Houston's This Is It

This Is It Soul Food is a legendary in the city of Houston since 1959. People come from cross country to see if the reputation of good food is true. In my opinion this is an inexpensive place to have a meal for a family. The portions are very generous for under $ 20.00 plus there's enough for leftovers. The food is delicious the mac n cheese is to die for, the rice with forty weight gravy, meatloaf with the tomato sauce, te cornbread muffin melt in your mouth, pork chops are mouth watering just to name a few. If you're hungry this is the place to dine the best Soul Food in Houston. This food is definitely prepared with love. My son loves this restaurant and wants to go there all the time because he says it his favorite restaurant. He's loves the mac n cheese and the atmosphere with the beautiful aquariums. This is down home cooking at its finest. I highly recommend this restaurant and you may even get a glimpse of a celebrity. If you can't cook ""This Is It Soul Food is the place. Enough said !!! This is it just about say's it all. This restaurant was just like going back home. The food was the bomb, I had oxtails, cabbage, mac n cheese, rice and gravy and please don't forget the down home cornbread. I was lickin my fingers when I was done, and not because I needed to but because it was just that good. They also had a nice spread of deserts. If you are looking for a place to go after church for Sunday dinner or any day, This is it is the place to go. Based on previous reviews they must have new staff because everyone was friendly. more
