Had a great experience with this company, Home Finance of America. I just bought a home and I was recommended by a co-worker. It was a lot easier than I had thought after hearing about the meltdown and how nobody can qualify any more. I applied and was approved the same day. I closed in about three weeks which my realtor said was not heard of today. What's great isI dealt with one person and I wasn't passed around like I was the last time I took out a loan. more

Home Finance of America is a great lender. I have refinanced many home many times either to lower my interest rate or to get some cash for various reasons. I always check with my bank but their rates are usually about 1/2% higher than the mortgage banks or brokers so I usually end up doing business with them. National lenders are usually the best since the more volume they do the lower the rate they can get you. The last refinance was with Home Finance of America. I called then after seeing them listed on Zillow. They had a 5 star rating. A REAL PERSON actually answered the phone instead of those annoying answering machines at other places so I was immediately impressed!\r \r I talked to a women that immediately gave me all her license information so I knew she had some ""skin in the game."" Within minutes she sent me over an estimate of all my costs and fees. They were 1/2 % lower than the mortgage company that advertises on the TV (Quickenloans) so I appiled over the phone with HFA. It was painless and took about 15 minutes. While on the phone she gave me my credit score which I was happy to hear got their best rate. I sent over my W2 and bank statements and I was approved the next morning..very fast! I was worried about the value of my home but when they sent the appraiser out he got a value higher than expected so I was able to get some extra cash to pay for some unexpected expenses.\r \r I was able to close in two weeks...shortest amount of time ever. Home Finance of America is really quick. Money was wired to Transtar Title and I got my old mortgage paid off and a check for the extra money right away. Anyway, I really like Home Finance of America and I hope to buy a new vacation home soon so I will definitely call them fo that.\r more

I purchased one home and refinanced it twice with Home Finance of America. They are the most honorable and friendly mortgage company I have ever dealt with. They have rates lower than the big banks, you always can speak to someone, and they disclose exactly what their cahrges are and keep them. Pros: Quick closing more
