Guys: don't eyeball customers, don't mock customers, don't talk down to them, don't laugh at them. Some of them are regulars. more

some of us work for nothing; some of us get paid to talk 4/29/2012

So I spend my life working my hump off for almost nothing while some of these guys in here collect a paycheck for doing almost nothing but being rude to customers and stand around talking regurgitating Fox News commentary. Communication is a 2-way street. You get hateful with customers asking questions, and those customers are going to get hateful with you. more

Worst now, use to be great 4/27/2012

There are 2 or 3 decent people left there but for the most part, they are awful. I spend alot of money there every year. $3000+ at least every year and had a guy in plumbing take a repair kit for a shower out of my hand while I was looking at it. It was in a non sealed box and I just wanted to see if the screw holwes were c ompatible with Moen. He took it out of my hand and closed the box, like I was a 10 year old. Told me they could 'let' me look in the box or they couldn't sell the product. He had told me the wrong part twice and I didn't want to have to come back again. His statement a total lie. Also while one lady at returns is great, a couple of the others act like it is coming out of their paychecks and give you the 3rd degree over a $10 product. They use to be about customer services and now are just rude, lazy people that try to tell you what you want when they haven't a clue. They act like experts and then sell you the wrong peoducts and then act like you are at fault when you have to return it. Powell Ave is a long way to go but I will go there from now on because they are so nice. more

wants to get rid of regular customers 7/29/2010

I've been pouring thousands of dollars worth of business into this Home Depot ever since it opened, shopping at least every other week, and could count on one hand the number of times I've made returns. In the past they were friendly and courteous. Now a new young guy works there, has a punk attitude, and gives you a third degree line of questioning when you make a return. My business is going to Lowes. Bye bye! Pros: same stock as any other home depot I guess Cons: new guy working returns more

Lowe's is the place to be 8/5/2007

Forget it! H.D. has frequently been my playground, but this particular location is the worst I've ever experienced. At least 2 times this week the Garden Center was closed during peak times. The first time I parked my car, filled up the basket with plants and found locked doors to the area. I had to cart the length of the store to go inside and check out, only to then again walk the length of the store outside to return to my car in 98 degree weather temperature. I was told during both visits that there had been several ""call outs"". I don't necessarily fault that store management, but you've got to rethink your hiring decisions. If you're leading the right way, you won't have that many associates abandon ship on the same day. I haven't always been impressed with this location anyway. The plants appear poorly cared for and the store fequently looks messy and disorganized. Although it's a little further, I think I'll visit Lowe's more often. Pros: Location as usual Cons: Staffing levels and store organization more
