Happy Hounds Pet Grooming

I will never take my dog back here. I bought a groupon and when I went in, the first thing out of their mouth after looking at the groupon was "" are you sure he is not over 50Lbs""? He is a husky but not full grown yet and only weighs 43lbs. There were different groupons you could buy depending on weight. So I thought my ""greeting"" was rude. Then I get a call to come back and help them put a muzzle on him because he is trying to bite them. I have taken our dog to many groomers and have never been told that. So I stop and go over to the groomers only to walk in the door and hear one of them yelling at him. Then they saw me and started to talk to him nicely. I felt horrible for him and took him out before he was finished. I felt he was close to a nervous breakdown. Be careful where you take your pets. They can not talk to tell you how they were treated. more

The gal made a degrading remark that it took her a long time since I had never brushed my dog. She was put out so I will go somewhere else where I am welcome. more

I purchased a living socials deal and called to make an appointment. When Mandy answered the phone she asked how I heard about Happy Hounds, when I stated that I had a living social deal she covered the phone with her hand and asked another person in the room if she should book me soon or if she should book me far out because it was a living social deal. She uncovered her hand from the phone and said that ""due to the large volume of calls the first available appointment is not until the end of February."" \r \r This is just poor customer service. People purchase these deals to try out organizations they have never tried before. When you are selective just because someone received a great deal (that you offered) you risk losing lifelong customers. Please remember that people love their pets and are always looking for that just right company who provides a great service. I guess Happy Hounds is only looking to get more customers for less, not lifelong customers who will pay the regular rates. I will not be one of those customers, I have requested a refund for my voucher. more

My Goldendoodle, Kirby and I love Happy Hounds. Barb is so good with Kirby and she cares about his comfort and safety while he is with her. Barb is very thorough and Kirby looks great each time he is groomed. Barb is also very flexible about appointments and is simply lovely to work with. more

Barb has groomed my dogs for over ten years and I would not take them anywhere else. When my last two Shih Tzus were older, Barb took special care of their senior needs and mourned with me when I had to let them go. Now, Barb takes care of my young Shih Tzus. They pull me into her shop wagging their tails the whole way. I can tell that they always feel special after getting a bath and trim. Barb is a pleasure to work with and does a great job! I highly recommend Happy Hounds! You won't be disappointed. more

Barb puts Buster right at ease since she is the most caring groomer we've ever met! Buster isn't stressed out when I return to pick him up after his miraculous transformation. Unparalleled in service and affordable prices for every budget, this pet grooming facility places a very high emphasis on total pet care: Barb, the owner, speaks directly with each client to determine the needs of each individual pet. She only works on so many dogs in a day, allowing each dog to get groomed at his or her own pace and learn the process. After the dog is groomed, Barb promptly calls the owner and honestly explains any health or behavior issues the dog had that day. My dogs, having come from the shelter, had severe anxiety with separation and the grooming process. Happy Hounds worked with me and allowed me to stay with them as they were being groomed, and explained what all they were doing. I would recommend this grooming facility to anyone who wants their dogs to receive the best possible care and come home smelling and looking beautiful! The toothbrushing service is a great plus if you want your dog to have extra-fresh breath when he or she gets home!!! more

Our experience with Barb's Happy Hounds started 12 years ago when we adoped our beloved golden retriever, Harry from our next door neighbors who had to leave for Japan. Our dog was so excited about going to Barb's , we would just say "" Want to go to Barbs?"" and he would start jumping up and down and heading for the door. Barb provides excellent grooming services as well as advice on how to keep your dogs healthy. We have continued with Happy Hounds with our existing 2 dogs. The dogs smell so nice and look so good in their new bandanas. I highly recommend Happy Hounds as the place to go for pet grooming. We would never consider going anywhere else. more

I have been taking my two labs to Happy Hounds Pet Grooming and Barb for the past four years. When first recommended by a friend to use Barb?s services, my yellow lab Clipper, had just had TPLO surgery and was scheduled to have the second knee operated on six months later. Barb advocated putting Clipper on NuJoint vitamins that promote healing. I adhere to her advise and to my surprise and my vet who did the surgery, Clipper was healing earlier and stronger then typical. Keeping him on the vitamins the second surgery recovery rate was even more successful. more

Barb, our groomer at Happy Hounds, has been grooming our cocker spaniels for the past 15 years. I have always trusted her to take good care of our 4 legged family members and she has never disappointed us. More than once she has pointed out something that we need to have checked out by our vet, and that has helped us keep our cocker spaniels healthy. I have recommended her, and will continue to recommend her to anyone that wants a quality groomer. more
