Made the move a breeze! 11/11/2010

From my first visit with my salesman, Dave Albaugh, everything was perfect. He assisted me with getting the exact number of boxes that I needed to get a lot of the packing done ahead of time. Whenever, I called, he was available to help me. When Hansen Bros came to do the final packing, Blake was a gem - he got everything done in under two hours. Then the following day, the driver, Rod, arrived with 4 helpers - it did not take long to load even though they had to shuttle everything to the "mother ship" which could not get into my complex. He told me his expected arrival date and he was right on. Rod and his two assistants in the desert were done offloading in under 4 hours. Nothing was missing and they were so helpful in asking where everything went. I have used Hansen Bros. for over 20 years - both personally and for my employer. I would always recommed them - they are the best in the Northwest!! more

Fantastic but a little pricey 7/1/2010

When Brian Reppert (our salesman) told me not to worry, he told the truth. I shopped around for my local move (10 miles), and was looking for a mover that could care for the furniture I designed and built, and the machinery I used to do so. A 4 bedroom house and two car garage with all manner of heavy, awkward, breakable things. I have to say that the moving day was a great day. First time ever. And most importantly, not a scratch on my furniture. Not a dent in my tools. Hansen Brothers are the best in the business. It was a little more expensive than I expected. I will never use anyone else. You can feel confident using this company.? Pros: Professional and very careful guys Cons: A little more than I expected in $$$ more

Good Moving Company 6/9/2010

This company did a great job. I was very worried before my move and searched with a lot of companies until I decided to go with them. I was very happy with my decision. They came on time, took 5 hours to load my 3 bedroom house. The price was right and the service was great. I heard so much horror stories about moving companies and today I feel very lucky about my choice to move with Hansen Brothers. I wanted to thank their staff for making this move so smoothly and stress-free. I have already recommended my friends to use this company Pros: Good and No Stress Cons: Absolutely none of more

Highly Recommend 2/25/2010

This was the best move I have ever had because they made it seem easy. Moving is not easy, I have used movers about ten times, and there are always moments of anxiety. Not so with Hansen Brothers. They made the whole experience seem like a walk in the park. On the phone and giving a quote, Jenny was uncommonly patient, respectful, organized and low pressure. She gave me the time me to collect my scattered thoughts and figure out what I really needed. I spoke to three movers who were "five-stars" on here, and Hansen Bros. put me most at ease. The movers were fantastic. Punctual, respectful, fast as hell. They didn't grunt and groan like most movers, they cheerfully did stuff they hadn't expected to do (removed a light fixture so my couch could fit out the old door, figured out how to disassemble/reassemble my Ikea furniture, did a long haul at the new house when the truck didn't fit down my driveway). They were amazingly mellow about having to double-park their truck, and didn't run roughshod over my apartment. Most movers will do the stuff you ask them to do, complaining all the way. I personally find it very uncomfortable to have to boss around big, burly men who are resentfully doing their job. Not so with the guys from Hansen. They proactively did things, and never made it seem hard. Usually I tip movers because I feel bad after they have appeared to struggle all day. With this crew I gave the boys great tips because they made it seem so easy. The price here is on the higher side, but in the end it cost less than others had quoted due to their astounding speed. When you also factor in the "no stress" factor, these guys are a bargain! Pros: Proactive and efficient Cons: little more $ but worth it more

Nice movers 2/1/2010

Thanks to Hansen Brothers for moving my wife and I this past week. The boys did a very nice job of handling all of our furniture and being patient while we decided where to put things. We will tell our friends about them. Pros: Patient and careful Cons: no more

Thankful to be done with moving 1/8/2010

We recently used Hanson Bros to move from Northgate to Bothell. It went very smoothly. The guys that came out to do the work were friendly and efficient. We would definitely use this company again. Pros: Easy to work with Cons: Nothing more

Retiring to AZ 9/18/2009

We moved to Seattle 8 years ago using Bekins Van Lines. When we decided that we were going to retire to Arizona, we called the local Bekins agent, Hansen Brothers. It turned out that they weren't a Bekins agent any longer, but now are an Allied agent. We went ahead and had them come out for an estimate. Paula was extremely helpful in providing a concise and clear estimate of our charges. Our move went off without a hitch and we couldn't be happier. We will be telling our friends. Pros: Accurate estimate, friendly salesman Cons: surprise van line more

From Bothell to Sultan 6/29/2009

We bought a home with horse property in Sultan. There was no way we were moving ourselves, so we called Hansen Bros Moving,( they were referred by a friend) and it was great! I will refer them to everyone. Pros: On time, worked hard, nothing broken Cons: Zero more

Great Mover! 6/25/2009

This is the 2nd time we've used Hansen Bros for a move. They have done a great job for us both times. Paula gave an accurate estimate and the crew moved everything out and into our new home without a problem. Five gold stars for them! Pros: efficient and super friendly Cons: none at all more

Awesome Movers 6/3/2009

We bought a new house in Edmonds and had Hansen Bros. move us out of our house in Mountlake Terrace. The salesperson was professional and really nice and spent more time talking about our concerns than the other couple of people we got estimates from. They showed up on time and got to work right away. The lead mover also talked to us about everything and made sure that we were taken care of. Everything showed up at the other end with no damage and in a half hour less than the estimate. Great move and I will be telling my friends to use them for sure. Pros: efficient and super friendly Cons: not a one more

Great Mover - but wrong contact info on here 5/18/2009

I have used quite a few moving companies, and Hansen Bros. came highly reccommended by a couple of co-workers. I was not dissappointed. They gave me a free and accurate estimate and then performed the move efficiently and professionally. I would definitely use them again and will pass their name along to my acquaintances. The contact information on here is wrong though - their address is at 12645 Stone Ave N, Seattle and their phone # is 206-365-8183. Pros: Top notch professional movers Cons: None more

Get it in writing and get a witness to your conversation 4/17/2008

I had my shipment in storage at Bekins (agent Hansen Brothers in Newcastle). I scheduled my property to be delivered to me here in Laurel, MS. I contacted John Burlingame, the sales rep, to see when they can get my property delivered to me. John never contacted me any time to let me know the particulars on the movement; I did all the contacting. John told me that it would cost me $1500.00 for the transportation cost and $200.00 to have a crew watch them download my property out of storage, repacked and shipped. I was told that this was necessary. When my property arrived, you can imagine how surprised I was to find that the property was shipped in the boxes that I packed them in. On March 24, 2008, John Burlingame called me (only the 2nd call he ever placed to me). He stated that the $1700.00 paid for everything. Then I started thinking, if he didn't use the $200.00 for the crew, I was entitled to the difference back - $200.00 minus the Feb & prorated Mar storage rental = $142.00 + 75.72 (the amount that I had paid to catch up my storage). I contacted the accounts receivable department and spoke to Wayne. Wayne told me that he would have to get with John Burlingame and get the details before they can issue any thing and he would call me back. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago (mind you, Wayne said that he called me but didn't get to leave a message). By this time, I was and am out of patience and ticked off. Today, April 17, 2008, I called to ask to speak to Wayne's boss, Dave Cohen(?). Dave must have relayed the message to Wayne because Wayne called me back. I was angry and told Wayne to put me on speaker phone and get me John Burlingame and Dave Cohen. Wayne only got John. John fed me this story about all these "other" charges that had to be paid for and basically went out of his way and eliminated these other costs for me when he should have told me up front what it will cost. Now it looks like a scam to me. MOVER BEWARE. Pros: SHIPMENT ARRIVED IN TIMELY FASHION Cons: NOT TRUTHFUL ABOUT ALL ASSOCIATED COSTS AND WANTS TO KEEP MONEY more

The worst moving company I've ever dealt with 3/10/2007

These guys 'lost our paperwork', didn't show up at their appointed time (vacation time had been taken from work and day care arranged for our toddler twins) and then didn't make any effort to accomodate us. The earliest they could fit us in was 2 days later. They didn't apologize and barely acknowledged their mistake. It was the most unproffesional behavior I've ever experienced in movers and i've used all levels from 'man with a van' up to this supposedly pro (and expensive) level. In a panic we called around and '"Miracle Movers" took us on (for a lower price) with just a few hours notice. The guys who moved us were on an unexpected third move that day but were quick, polite and careful even though they were tired and sweaty. Never use Hansen Bros., call "Miracle Movers" instead. Cons: Didn't show up and didn't make any effort to accomodate us more
