A piece of Iowa City history 10/19/2006

One of the anchors of Iowa City. They serve up breakfast, lunch and dinner. I just had their chili yesterday and enjoyed it considerably. The Hamburg Inn has also been featured on West Wing and is often visited by political figures during campaign time. Come and cast your vote in the coffee bean poll. more

great place to eat and soak up IC atmosphere 3/17/2006

The food is outstanding, but sometimes it hard to say why people like the Hamburg Inn. the whole environment is so fascinating that the food sometimes takes second place - for the visitors, mind you. The Hamburg Inn food itself, worth a trip - milkshakes, sandwiches, soups excellent. I have never been disappointed when I visited the Hamburg Inn. One of the original IC places and worth a visit by every out of towner. more
