This was the worst dental experience of my life. I've never understood those people who are terrified of dentists UNTIL NOW. I went in to Gray Dental Care for a regular ol' cleaning, etc. Right away I was told that I needed a special, more expensive cleaning. I was so caught off guard, but trusted them (bad, baaaadd on my part), so I went ahead and said ok. Then I was told that they needed to replace an existing filling. I thought this was odd, as I hadn't noticed any problems with that particular tooth, but hey, they know what's best, right? Each step of the way it was an upsell. I felt like I was at a freaking used car dealership. The absolute worst part, though, was when the dentist replaced the filling. WHAT THE CRAP. She was obnoxious, unprofessional, and had the worst attitude. She was ROUGH and continued drilling and yanking at my lip and cheek even when I screamed and told her that I wasn't numb. I left the office feeling very traumatized and in serious pain. I had not had any pain with that tooth/filling before but after I left it continued to get worse and worse. I made an appointment with a different dentist recommended by coworkers and, wouldn't you know it, the filling that Gray Dental ""replaced"" was a mess. I told the new dentist what had happened and they were kind enough to replace it for free. (Note: Once she took out the filling that Dr Gray had put in 6 MONTHS BEFORE, she told me that it was worse than she had even realized and there was decay UNDER Dr Gray's filling. Gross.) I cannot emphasize strongly enough, there is abolutely no excuse for the way I was treated, the hack job I received on my tooth, or the overcharging for services. I wish I would have googled this place before my appointment, as it sounds like others before me have experienced the SAME treatment I received for years. Ridiculous.
