Editorial review from Citysearch 2/1/2016

Dr Lauren Piper is by far the best vet doctor i have ever been too. She is so caring always takes time to talk and discuss the problem of yoyr animal to the owners. Never rushes you and takes such good care of your pet. Pebbles had surgury and she calls to let u know the outcome of the surg and how everything went. I thank God for her her knowledge and understanding of dealing with animals. She is a great asset to Grassmere and i will tell everyone to take their pet to her. I know her parents are so blessed to know how much their daughter has helped and saved so many animals.May God continue to bless Dr Piper as she has helped others. more

I Started going to this office 6 years 6/5/2012

I Started going to this office 6 years ago because it was close to my house. My luck was good and I love this animal hospital. I have two cats and two standard poodles. I have seen all the dr.s and everyone has always been professional and kind. They are always great with my pets and never have been made to feel like I need to do any unneccecary procedures. I old recomend them to anyone. more

I switched all my animals over to Grassmere 7/30/2009

Friends have recommended Grassmere for years but I live a long way off. When I rescued an injured dog, Grassmere was the closest. They were wonderful to this stranger and were straighforward about Simba's needs. He ended up getting a referral to a surgeon for very expensive surgey and then had a long recovery period that required daily boarding at Grassmere. The staff was great about working with me to manage various grants and donations I got for his care, and now that he has found a permanent home, they always ask about him. After that, I was hooked. My four dogs (one has now had to be euthanized at Grassmere and they actually sent me a personally-signed card!) are aging and have complicated health problems, so I feel great that there is continuity among the vets and techs and that they act like they know me when I show up. My 5 cats also go there now, too. Grassmere is one of just a few accredited facilities in our area and they are very caring about pain management. All of this plus their capability to hospitalize means a lot to me in terms of high-quality care. Prices are competitive, too. We always request Dr. Lambeth, but the other vets are great, too. Pros: Great vets, friendly staff, clean, good hours Cons: Boarding facilities are kind of grim-looking; care is good more

compassionate care when it mattered most 4/16/2009

After receiving very poor care and bad advice at a different vet, I came to Grassmere for a second opinion based on the other positive Citysearch reviews. They were able to get me an appointment for the same day I called and treated me and my cat as if we'd been going there for years. They were very gentle and honest with me about her condition, talking me through her x-rays and explaining things thoroughly without being condescending. Even though my cat ultimately had to be put to sleep, I appreciated knowing that the vet was interested in what was best for my cat, rather than giving false hopes through extreme and unnecessary ""treatments."" The whole staff was so kind to us, which was comforting during a very difficult time. When I am ready to bring home another feline friend, I will certainly return to Grassmere for their care. Pros: caring and sincere staff more

GREAT PLACE FOR YOUR ANIMAL 11/22/2008

I have been going to this vet for the last two years. From the time that you arrive to the time that you leave everyone in building is pleasent. Even the office pets. One of my dogs have benn sick on and off for the last 6 months no matter what time of the day it is I have been always told to bring him in. Feels good to have people that care about you and your pets. Would recommend to EVERYONE !!! Pros: Great Prices, Great Staff, Caring Team- Office is open to 7pm Cons: Traffic on Nolensville Road more

Great Vet. Bad Area. 8/25/2008

Excellent vet, especially with cats. They know their business.\r Bad neighborhood and poor location. Anytime after 2:00 PM the traffic will be miserable, so plan accordingly. Pros: Great Vets Cons: Lousy Location more

Great vets & staff 7/21/2008

I've been going to this vet for a little over a year now and so far I agree that this is a great veterinarian office. It was recommended to me by some friends who go there when I moved into the area. I'm glad they did. There are currently four veterinarians to choose from, so if you have a favorite feel free to ask for them; however all of the doctors there are good and I've seen each of them with my current brood of 3 cats and 2 dogs. Prices are pretty reasonable for Nashville area. The staff is great, and the bad receptionist mentioned in other reviews I think must have left since I've never had any issues with any of the four ladies that currently work up front. \r \r The main issue with the place is that it is old and hasn't really been updated. It is however kept very clean and tidy but the building and some of it's equipment is still stuck in the 70's. The parking also can be a pain since there are only a small number of parking spaces in the front (additional parking is in the back but you have to walk up the hill to the front door). Also during busy times, especially the afternoon rush hour, it can take a while to get to because of heavy traffic on Nolensville Pike. So plan ahead because it will probably take longer during those times of day than it normally would to get to your appointment. Pros: Great Vets & Staff, Clean, Carries A Large Variety Of Pet Food & Medications, Open 1/2 Day On Sat & Until 7pm Weekdays Cons: Dated Building & Equipment, Parking Can Be Bad @ Times more

Great Vet, Horrible Neighborhood 6/26/2008

I've been going to Grassmere for about a year now and I think I may have found ""the one"". The staff is always very friendly, the hours are great, and I've never had difficulty getting appointment times that fit my schedule. They are very fairly priced and the vets seem highly knowledgable and sincere.\r \r About the only ""con"" to this office is the location. This hospital is about the only reason I have to travel Nolensville Rd. in 37211. The office itself if older and certainly looks dated. However, my dog has never seemed to mind. Pros: Great service, great veterinary care Cons: Poor location more

Nobody better thn Grassmere..Conner wagged hello 2/12/2007

I have visited this vet since the 60's when it was called Fitzpatricks.I have never found more compassionate , caring and friendly folks to deal with,The staff goes out of their way to ne helpful, they even called me the next day after my dog was operated on.There is no way to truely express how well they treat you until you find out for yourself.Good pricing tops it as well.So many vets I have chatted with or clinics worry about money first the animal 2nd...NEVER the situation here.....I know my animals are always in good loving hands here....now I have a puppy to go love on...and thanks to Dr Clark and the folks at Grassmere , I can.... Pros: They treat you like family Cons: Cant think of 1..ok I live in Mt Juliet but its worth the drive more

Best Vet In Town 8/27/2006

The staff and Dr. Brumbelow are extreamly kind and it is very obvious that they not only care about the pets, but also about the owners. The prices are extreamly reasonable and I have never found a clinic that treated me and my pet so well. more

LOVE!!! these vets! 5/11/2006

Last Fall one of my Great Danes experienced GDV, or bloat and torsion, which is a very serious, usually fatal problem common to Great Danes. It was after hours so we went to the emergency hospital did the surgery, and afterward he needed to be hospitalized for several days during the day. They wanted to keep him 24 hours a day, but they did allow me to take him home at night when he improved a lot the first day. The vets at Grassmere over the next week or so while he was hospitalized days were all very respectful, kind, thorough, and understanding. They were up front with me about his chances (not good), and treated me as though i know best for my animals, which is the truth but not a sentiment many vets share these days. My boy has survived 6 months and had his 9th birthday! Pros: Thorough, Respectful, Knowledgeable Cons: Parking is difficult, Baths are expensive, No DIY injections more

Made Me Feel At Home 2/1/2006

I didn't encounter the rude receptionist and I am very glad I decided to take my cats here. Dr. Bumbalo is very good with cats and people as she was very friendly and able to tell me exactly what was wrong with my younger kitty after our move. I wish I were staying in the area longer as I would definitely be returning to ensure my pets good health in the kind and caring hands of this vet! Pros: Very Friendly, Very Knowledgeable, Adequate Pricing Cons: Can't think of any! more

The Vet on Monday is the Best 11/13/2005

I have a 6 month old male kitten who has had many health problems since I found him. This was the 3rd Vet I took him to and I will never go anywhere else. The female Vet that is there on Saturday's and Monday's is wonderful. She was very thorough and found out exactly what was wrong. He is doing much better now, and this Vet cost a lot less than the ones that did nothing to help. Pros: inexpensive, caring and thorough, open all day Saturday Cons: hard to turn on to, parking is few more

Great Doggie Doctor 11/1/2005

I take my little dog to Grassmere Animal Hospital. The staff there is just excellent. I love how they call my dog by name and make over her like she is a child! She shakes the entire time she is there, but the staff and the vet seem to always try to talk to her in a soothing voice and do everything they can to keep her calm. They even send her a Christmas card every year! It is a great clinic and I wouldn't trust my baby's care to anyone else! more

Great Vet Worth the Poor Receptionist 10/3/2005

The rest of the office staff is great and of course, all the vets are fantastic for this over protective moma of 3 cats and 1 dog. I can't believe Savannah didn't freak out with claws extended to them! Dr. Clark is a 'cat whisperer' for sure. Just don't let the Receptionist give you any flack. All you have to do is be a little firm. She knows who she's talking to now and I don't have any problems anymore. She must have cast some sort of spell over the rest of the office to still be working there! The cost is very reasonable for such outstanding and caring service. They always treat me with respect no matter how many crazy quetions I ask. Pros: Reasonable Cost, Kennel Svc Available, Great VETS! Cons: Busy traffic area more

Great Vet! 2/18/2005

The people @ Grassmere are wonderful vets. I will agree that there is one receptionist that needs a major attitude adjustment however the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful. More importantly, they do impecable work on the animals. As an owner of 3 dogs and a rescue volunteer, I wouldn't take my dogs or rescues anywhere else!! more
