Brazilian wax, a pleasant experience? 1/17/2012

OK, so for those of you who like the results of a Brazilian wax, you know that actually getting one can be less than wonderful, but I have to say that I really look forward to it when I go to Glow Med Spa. The staff is very professional, incredibly friendly and they make you feel comfortable. As soon as you cross the threshold into the spa you feel relaxed. The atmosphere and d?cor is inspiring. I have had this service from two of their staff and you can tell they are trained well and want to make sure you are happy with the results because they take their time to do it right, all the while being friendly (sometimes funny) and meticulous. I highly recommend the Brazilian wax at Glow Med Spa. If you?ve not had one, but are curious to try it, definitely go here. Even if you regularly get Brazilians, I recommend this spa- you will be pleased with the experience and the results. more

the best spa in town 1/13/2012

I have been going to Shia for several years now for waxing and facials. She does an amazing job with all the services I have had from her. I never feel nervous about getting waxed because the system they have at Glow is pain free. I have also recently enjoyed a deep tissue massage by Patrick. Oh my goodness.....for 60 minutes i felt like i had not a worry in the world. Whether I'm getting a wax, massage, facial, or stop in to buy some of their amazing product, I leave feeling like I've been on a quick vacation from my hectic life. Not sure what i would do without the amazing and talented staff at Glow Med Spa. If you haven't tried Glow or are looking to make a change from your spa, I can guarentee you wont be disappointed by the high level of services for such bargain prices. Thanks Shia and the staff at Glow for your amazing work and impeccable customer care!!!! more

Excellent Experience 12/5/2011

I have attending Glow Med Spa on four separate occasions, at both locations and have been incredibly impressed on all of my visits. I have received services from three different employees, Lisa, Chelsea and Shia, and find their knowledge, level of assistance and care among the best I have ever had. From the moment you enter either location, you feel peace and calm as every detail of your experience at Glow Med Spa is carefully thought out and planned. This attention to your experience is only the beginning. They are all very passionate about taking care of your skin and want to assist you in any way possible. Attentive with careful soothing hands, the two services I receive have always been done above my expectations. Best in Skincare!!! 10/27/2011

I have been going to Glow med spa for 6 months now and I am so glad I discovered it. I got married in Sept 2011 and I wanted my skin to look the best. So i started my regimen 4 months before the wedding. Did a google on best med spa in richmond and Glow had 5 stars all the way, I decided to pay them a visit and I am hooked!!! I did a couple of VI Peels and oxygen facials and along with that using Shia's advice, changed my skincare line to suit my skin. And what a difference it has made. I went from a lot of blemishes on my skin to a very clear, healthy and glowy skin. I am happy even without makeup. I do get occasional breakouts, but a deep pore cleanse facial with Glow will fix it if you have worries about it. Shia, Lisa are the best. Shia has opened a second loc at short pump which is more convenient for me. I don't think I will go anywhere else again. I have tried dermatologists and other aestheticians before. But they were all temporary cure. Discovering glow has changed my skin and confidence permanently!!! Love Glow Med Spa!!! more

Amazing Experience! Great Spa 2/26/2011

When you first walk in the atmosphere is so serene just like you've stepped into a little place to take you away from all your disarray. You're then welcomed by the most friendly & helpful staff, everyone in there is awesome. The amenities that are provided help you relax are just that much of a plus. I've had a waxing and facials (more to come) and the waxing was so easy!! Lisa did an amazing job. She made me feel very comfortable, was quick & made it as painless as possible. Shia is an awesome business owner & esthetician, she has helped me tremendously with my skin problems, taught me a lot about skin care & easy ways to help keep my skin looking great. Products work really well, prices are very resonable versus the competitive in richmond, & the spa experience is definately something everyone should experience to pamper yourself or loved one. GO TO GLOW!! more

BEST FACIAL IN RICHMOND!!!!! 2/2/2011

It's not often i get to pamper myself, but once in a while its needed. I just recently moved here 3 years ago and have tried a few of the local Spa's around Richmond. I must say I was not all that impressed with most. Being from a Big City like New York its hard to find something comparable. So, I decided to try Glow the other day. I met with this very sweet and pleasent young lady name Lisa. She was warm, sweet, respectful and very professional. She flat out gave me one of the best facials I have ever had. I highly recommend using Lisa! Its not the biggest Spa but it is beautiful and SOOOO relaxing!!! I found my girl!!! more

I visited Glow Med Spa today and I am extremely pleased with the experience. The facility is beautifully decorated/clean and the staff is friendly/knowledgeable. If you want to pamper yourself or treat someone special to a pampering session in the Richmond area, you've definitely found the right spot for it. more

Richmond's Skin Care Genious! 10/7/2010

Shia has worked miracles on my very difficult adult acne prone skin. Not only has she helped with the acne issues, but she has helped reduce the visibility of the scars as a result of the acne and just overall transformed my skin. Shia really takes the time to understand what works best for you instead of just following some cookie cutter regimen for each client. more

BEST FACIAL IN TOWN 10/7/2010

I have been looking for a good esthetician for years in Richmond. Someone who can analyse your skin and customize treatments for you and you alone. I have spent tons of money on people who ""just go through the motions"" and offer expensive products that do not work. FINALLY--I HAVE FOUND HER!!!!! After 6 months with Shia, I will never go to anyone else. My skin has always been fairly good, but now it actually does glow and I get compliments on my skin all the time. Her treatments and products really do work. Run, don't walk. It's worth it. more

I recently moved to Richmond, I miss my hair.wax.etc. people, and I am VERY VERY picky, and I will let anyone know if I am not satisfied - Shia TOTALLY delivers. LOVE her - the brazilian is flawless, brows are amazing. Professional, quick, thorough, and very economical - all in a pleasant, unique environment. Wherever you live, it's worth the drive to Glow Spa if you don't live near. Pros: Brazilian and brow wax!! more

I've lived & traveled all over the country - & Glow Med Spa is HANDS-DOWN the best overall spa experience I've ever had. The atmosphere is incredibly warm & welcoming & serene. Shia is a gem! Her Brazillian truly is the most painless I've had in 15 years of waxing. Big plus: The Spa is located in a super-convenient, safe & clean neighborhood. Best Brazilian Ever 3/30/2010

This place gave me the best Brazilian wax i have ever had in Richmond. Surprisingly it was the most affordable one i have ever had also. Its so long lasting too; mine lasted almost two months!! the staff was so nice and the place is just gorgeous! i never knew that little golden nugget was here until i did an extensive search online for waxings in the area. one of richmond's best kept secrets =) Pros: affordability, comfortable, relaxing more

She is the best at what she does and has hired a professional staff to help her carry out her vision and mission to be the best, fastest, and most painless brazilian in the Richmond area. I love Glow!!! 11/20/2009

My experience at Glow Med Spa was a real treat. The spa itself has a very peaceful atmosphere and is beautifully decorated. I love the trees! The staff is friendly and efficient. I got a facial and eyebrow wax with Shia and she is absolutely awesome! My brows look perfectly groomed, with a nice shape, yet not too thin. The facial made my skin like new and I really enjoyed the neck and shoulder massage. Furthermore, Shia is very knowledgeable about the products and I feel like I learned a little something about how to better care for my skin. I can't wait to go back! I would absolutely recommend Glow Med Spa. more

great new spa! 11/19/2009

I got a 60 minute massage at Glow and rate it as one of the best massages I've had. Not only was the massage relaxing, it was therapeutic, too. When I went in, I had a pinched nerve in my back and could barely breathe. When I left, I could breathe and move without pain. I will definitely go back, but next time Im scheduling a 90 minute massage and a facial too! Pros: unique decor more
