I have lived here for almost a year and the apartments are nice, the maintenace staff is helpful, but the most important thing for me has been the money I've saved by not living downtown. Pros- close to downtown, lots of space for the money and pet friendly Cons- dated brick exterior, older fitness equipment, pool isn't open late more

I would NEVER recommend the Gazebo Apartments to ANYONE…not even my worst enemy. The management is horrible. Extremely unkind and unwilling to work with you. From the prices alone, you would think that you should be living at the Viridian or some upscale condo/apartment complex. Every apartment has a different price. No consistency whatsoever. These apartments are a dump and they should be shameful of themselves for charging the $1200+ that you will pay in rent. BEWARE of all the administrative, pet, and “add on fees” that they conveniently tack on without telling you or explaining to you before you sign the lease. And it is extremely convenient how they have a disclaimer on all their “specials” stating that they can change at any time. So what that means that today the application fee may be $25, but tomorrow it could be $50 depending on what mood they are in. Plus they don’t tell you that if you sign a lease and you want to add on another roommate, they will slap you with a $200 administrative fee, but had you just applied together at the same time, that fee may have been waived, depending on their mood that day. The apartment Manager, Dee is a snot! Super rude and unfriendly. The only worth a damn is Laura. She at least tries to make an effort at assisting you and meeting your needs. These apartments claim to be “Newly renovated,” but NOT to normal renovations standards. More like they painted over everything to make it look new and installed new carpets and flooring. The place needs to be entirely gutted out!!!! Can’t place anything heavy in the cupboards without them boing out. Not to mention they are covered in about 30 layers of black paint. I was afraid to place any of my breakable dishware on them in fear that they will come crashing down. They lure you in by showing you an apartment that in the end will look NOTHING like the one they put you in. They take you to their nicest, newly renovated model and then place you in half renovated dump filled with mold and possible asbestos. The maintenance is an absolute joke. Now if you can even get them to come out and fix what is broken, you will wish they hadn’t because you could have done a MUCH better job YOURSELF! They trick you into signing the lease before you do the walk through so you are bound by the lease. You arrive and can’t even move in because of the LONG list of repairs that need to be done in order for it to be considered “livable.” Unless this is a last resort, sign a lease at your own risk but it is highly UNRECOMMENDED! You WILL regret it!\r \r I AM THROUGHLY CONVINCED THAT ALL OF THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE DONE BY THE GAZEBO STAFF AND OR THEIR FRIENDS BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY SOMEONE WOULD FIND THIS TO BE AN ADEQUATE STANDARD OF LIVING!! \r more

Good place 4/22/2012

My stay at gazebo has gone well. I moved in my junior year and school and will be moving out in a few weeks due to graduating. My main reasons for choosing gazebo were the close proximity to Belmont and the fact that the rent was super cheap compared to the downtown area. I haven?t interacted with their staff often, but I have found them to be friendly when we do speak. My apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms and 2 baths which has worked well for my roommate and I. I haven?t had any major negative experiences since I?ve lived here, but I tend to stay to myself. Overall I would give the apartments a 4.5 out of 5. more

Don't Move In Here 3/23/2012

At first Gazebo was very nice and accomodating. We were shown a model apartment that was pretty nice. I asked to view the apartment that I was signing papers for in 3 days and kept getting the run around. Once I was shown my actual apartment, I was HORRIFIED to say the least! It was extremely musty and you could tell that previous renters had been smokers. When I asked what could be done about it they offered to clean the carpet and that was it. We're talking years of smoke saturated in the carpet. The office staff couldn't have been more rude and unaccomodating. I HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere. more

Cool place 12/8/2009

I moved into Gazebo at the beginning of the summer. I haven?t had any bad experiences and the people in the people are nice. Other apartments in the area were more expensive and not as big. Pros: Close to downtown and it's gated Cons: Not on the bus line more
