DR. ROKEY HAS LEFT THE BUILDING. He sure is missed!! First of all I was told from one the veterinarians that, ""We are a place of business and not a charity!"" My family has been going there since 1990. Dr. Rokey was a wonderful man who truly cared about animals. The current owners of the clinic care only about the money. I have been loyal client and have always paid my veterinary bill on time. My 14 yr old dog was suffering from very painful swollen and infected anal gland. This causes a severe amount of pain. It was 1 day before my payday and I begged then to allow me to postdate a check for the very next day. They said no but they would be glad to set up an appointment for the following day. They did not care about the suffering my animal was going through wanted to prolong her pain for another day. I could not believe this. Dr. Rokey would have never allowed an animal suffer. I took my dog 2 blocks up the street to Antioch Dog and cat. I told them I did not have the money to pay yet they took my dog right in. They care! I strongly advise anyone who cares about their pet not to use Foxwood. more

Dr. Rokey isn't there anymore and boy do I miss him. I brought my cat here for liver problems and they shoved her in a small, dirty cage and ""hoped"" she would eat instead of giving her a feeding tube. By the time they thought about giving her one, it was too late. The Northland Emergency Vet said that she wouldn't have even survived the surgery Dr. Roberson was going to give her that day. We ended up having to euthanize her. Dr. Roberson blames absolutely everything your cat could have on their diet, pushing a special rabbit meat diet every chance he gets regardless of condition. This includes a visit for a sore on my cat's back. He didn't even touch him - just stated the diet again as usual. I had to bring my cat back a second time for an antibiotic injection, which cleared it up in a day. He just overgroomed because I went on a business trip and got addicted to the feeling. My cat was stressed out. Rabbit meat wouldn't have fixed the infected sore on his back. Don't take your pets here. more

BEST ANIMAL HOSPITAL EVER! 7/13/2011

This is the absolute best vet clinic I've ever been to. The staff are so welcoming and Dr. Harman is GREAT! She spent time with my puppies and really cared about their problems while being very intelligent about the overall situation. Also, unlike other vets she treated my babies like patients not like animals. It's not overpriced and the staff is just awesome. You won't find any other vet clinic like this. They are simply amazing! more

Best Vet ever . . . 5/20/2011

Wow, am I glad this Vet moved to the area! Dr. Harman is the best and most knowledgeable that I have found in a long time. She takes extra care when visiting with my dogs and offers what I feel is great care and compassion. I wouldn't go anywhere else! The staff at Foxwood is super friendly and up-beat. You won't find a better place to take your pets. more

New Vet there now 2/18/2011

I was just reading where the new vet there insists that someone in that neighborhood stops feeding 1 feral cat, the vet would apparently see him starve to death than someone attempt to help him. No I won't ever take my babies there, or in strays they deserve more compassion than she has. As a vet I would think that she would have more helpful suggestions with a stray than to let him starve. I am extremely disappointed that ANY vet would even suggest such a thing. more

overall great!! 10/14/2010

Nothing bad to say about this place!!! Great care for your loved pets, great vets, great staff!!!!!!! more

Best veterinarian clinic I have found 10/4/2009

I have taken 2 of my dogs to see Dr Harman and Dr Roberson. The first time I had an appointment, got in quick and out quick.Dr Roberson treated my dog as his own. He's very compassionate and I would never take my dogs anywhere else. The second visit was an emergency and I took our 10 year old Jack Russell as soon as possible.Dr.Harman was out to lunch and I figured that we would have to wait behind those that had appointments. It wasn't 10 minutes after she came back from lunch that she came in to see us.She has a big heart for animals and she goes above and beyond to take care of those that come to her office.I read these reviews a couple of days ago and wasn't going to give my own review, but for someone to comment that Dr Harman would suggest that they let a ferral cat starve is just absurd! Pros: They really care Cons: non that I know of more

Great vet's office, no frills, just good, knowledgeable, considerate care 11/2/2008

Yes, the building is a little old, and the location is a bit out of the way, although very easy to get to (I-35 to Vivion). But Dr. Rokey is really nice, very considerate, and thorough, and his vet techs?especially Dawn?are really nice too. (I'm sure the other vet is fine as well; I've just never seen him.) Bonus: They act as overflow for local shelters; we adopted two kittens from there. They really care about animals, and it shows. Pros: Easy to get appt, kind, caring, and knowledgeable staff Cons: Slightly out-of-the-way location more

compassionate care for my pet 4/2/2008

We had changed to another vet several years ago, and while they gave our animals good care, we always felt that we couldn't get in when we needed to, and that their prices were awfully steep. Yesterday afternoon, we called to get our dog into this other vet for an emergency, were unable to, and so I called Foxwoods. Even though they had never seen our dog before, they let us bring her in, and she received excellent care. She is back there today for more care, and I feel confident that we will not change vets again. The two doctors are very competent, kind, and the staff is compassionate and invariably helpful. My husband and I are glad to be back!! Cons: the office itself is old, and could use an update, but it is clean, so who really cares? more
