Food Works has become my fav restaurant in town. The food definitely works for me. This is the place I think of first whenever I want to impress a new date each week. Awesome place. more

Possibly Worst Meal Ever - Not Even Worth A Star! 9/9/2010

We dined at Foodworks over the Labor Day Weekend and it was quite possibly the worst meal that we have ever paid money to eat. The salad was drenced in dressing and completely unedible; my fiance's filet mignon was a grey color and was nasty..nasty...nasty. I could not even make myself swallow. Our server at no time came by to ask how our meal was...I guess he probably knew. Plus the price was over $100.00. Save your time and your money. This establishment is aboslutely TERRIBLE!!!!! more

Slow service, bad to average food 6/15/2010

I've dined at FoodWorks twice. The first time the service was very slow even though there were only 3 other tables. I had the burger and it was good. I just got back from my second experience at FoodWorks. It was awful. Again, there were only 3 or 4 tables filled with people, but it still took a good 45 minutes before our food came out. I ordered the Bar-B-Q pizza. I took one bite into my pizza and spit it out. The bottom of the pizza dough was cooked but the rest of the pizza dough was raw. I asked our server to ask the Chef to put it back in the oven for a few more minutes because most of pizza dough was still raw. She took my plate to the kitchen and came back to my table and informed me that the Chef was going to make me a new one with a ""crispier"" crust. Maybe there was a miscommunication. When I said my pizza dough was ""raw"" I must have really meant my pizza dough was not ""crispy"" enough. I smiled and said thank you but I was furious. I love food and no one would ever say I was a picky eater. I'm telling you that most of that dough was raw and I was offended that the server and apparently the Chef (or cook, not sure which) thought I was being picky. When it tastes like raw dough and feels like raw dough then it is raw dough. Another 15-20 minutes later I received my Bar-B-Q chicken pizza. The sauce was fine, the chicken was fine, but there were large chunks of semi cooked and raw purple onions. I ate half of it because I was starving, had to get back to work, and didn't have time to go some place else. Pros: nice looking building Cons: service, food, & price more

Love it 1/22/2009

I go there with my husband, nice atmosphere. Parking is a problem. Waiters are very friendly and helpful. I personally don't like that most of the dishes are cooked with bacon or simply very oily. If their food was on the lighter side we'd go there more often. Also I'd love to see a healthier menu. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Parking, too much bacon more

Best Restaurant in the City 3/16/2007

Last Friday night my wife and I decided to try Food Works for the first time. We had heard great things about the restaurant but had not had a chance to dine there. When we arrived the immediate parking lot was full however convienantly there was one dollar parking across the street. Upon walking in we were promptly greeted and after waiting only twenty minutes sat in the upper dining area. Our server came to the table shortly after and the entire meal was timely and perfect. I ordered The Chop and my wife ordered a thai inspired dish with chicken and shrimp (I believe it was called the Choo-Choo). I was slightly nervous at first when my server suggested the chop cooked medium, however I took his advice and have not had a better chop in my life. We were also very impressed with the overall apprearence of the restaurant. The building itself is beautiful and the art work and lights add the perfect touch. I would highly recommend anyone to Food Works and look forward to returning myself. Pros: service, food, drinks more
